Moving beyond the geeks

The Wii started it all. This interactive console gave way for non-gamers to take interest in an activity whose charm was then only limited to "geeks."

Nintendo's profits and popularity rose tremendously since their products such as the Wii and DS tickled the fancy of ordinary people. It served as an exercise, educational, sports and partying tool.
 
And of course the others want to take part of the pie.
 
Microsoft's Xbox added lifestyle functions that allow users to read news etc. Now Sony, decided that this is also the way to go. They argued that the current Playstation 3 is just utilizing its gaming functions, but has the space and capability to incorporate lifestyle features like news, music and more. Be prepared to welcome, Life with Playstation.
