From news of her shows in the Philippines and abroad, we can guess just how busy international star Lea Salonga is. But we're more amazed to see that even with her busy schedule, she still manages to blog in her Multiply site--and by blog, we mean long entries about goings-on in her life, her opinions on scams, funny anecdotes about her family, and even rants about television shows like American Idol or CSI.
Like any other blogger, Lea raves about things she has tried: food (one time giving a short review of a Manila Peninsula dinner), a new PS3, music, and even the view from a hotel room. Now and then, Lea answers surveys we normally find in social networking sites. As a proud mom to little Nicole, Lea also gushes about her daughter's antics and evident love for music at an early age.
The best thing about Lea's blog is how it makes the reader feel like getting advice from a big sister, doing justice to its title "The World According to Manang." In an entry titled "To get you through a breakup," she confesses to being a pragmatist and romantic at heart, and dishes matter-of-fact one-liners such as, "You collided with a fist. And you're still with him?" It’s no wonder people keep coming back to see if she's updated her site or replied to comments--which she does as well.
If we can add one more to the many reasons we admire Lea Salonga, her blog would definitely be it.
