When you need to look sexy and sophisticated, high heeled shoes will almost always do the trick. They promote proper posture, make your bottom look smaller, make your legs appear longer, thus making you more attractive. According to reports, scientists may have found the formula for having perfect legs: they need to be long in proportion to your torso. In other words, you could be more attractive if you could lengthen your legs by a few inches.
Although high heels may make you more dressier on occasions such as dinner dates, ‘high heels’ can become ‘killer heels’ causing problems ranging from blisters, corns and calluses to serious foot, knee and back pain. As we all say: no pain, no gain!
Here are some tips to make wearing high heels more comfortable.
1) It is essential to buy shoes that fit properly. When your feet slide on your shoe, you’ll get blisters. Toppling over on shoes this high can cause a broken ankle, wrist fractures, and much worse. A strap across the front of the foot or round the ankle can help to prevent falling off the shoe.
2) Buy shoes with soft inner soles, or use a gel filled cushion under the ball of the foot to prevent metatarsalgia (ball-of-foot pain), which gives a burning sensation that can sometimes be felt after wearing heels for a long time.
3) Wearing high heels everyday could be strenuous to your legs and feet. A comfy 2-3 inches heel is just as attractive as the higher heels.
4) Consider buying wedge platforms or pumps with chunkier heels, as opposed to a stiletto.
5) Rounded toe and/or open toe are just as sexy as the infamous point. They are more comfortable and you can concentrate more on walking gracefully in these shoes if your toes aren't being pinched together.
6) Give your feet some extra special attention during, and after wearing high heels. Exercise the calf, heel and foot muscles by stretching them out to increase circulation and help them relax-you can even do it whilst standing at the bar waiting for a drink!
These are simple yet effective; high heels can be comfy, too!
