Wake up your skin

Apr 7, 2008 by FN's Chamie Castillo

Revalé SkinImagine your skin as tough and firm as a bridge, but over time, damage from the sun’s rays, stress, and pollution will result to the bridge collapsing.

You can never be too young to use anti-aging products. It’s better to slow down the aging process rather than totally — and drastically — eradicate traces of aging.

Stiefel Laboratories Inc. introduced RevaléSkin in the market about a year ago, and now is in the Philippines! They are the first to include the coffeeberry extract in their night cream, day cream, and facial cleanser.

What exactly is a coffeeberry? Coffeeberry is the fruit from the plant Coffea Arabica, from which the commonly known coffee bean is derived. When harvested at a sub-ripe growth stage, the flesh of the fruit is at the peak antioxidant concentration. The polyphenol anti-oxidants contained within the ingredient are believed to prevent cellular damage in skin when applied externally. Studies show that coffeeberry anti-oxidant content is three times greater than that of green tea, a market leading antioxidant in skin-care products. Studies also show that the texture and tone of the skin treated with coffeeberry extract showed 46% improvement in fine lines and wrinkles, 64% in overall skin smoothness, and 79% in skin discoloration compared to other natural antioxidants.

It is now fast becoming a worldwide sensation with fashion and beauty magazines dubbing it as the new fountain of youth. Dermatologists even call it, “One of the most promising new antioxidants that came along in years.”

RevaléSkin, about SRP P5,000, is only available through dermatologists.
