We first saw her star in several TV commercials. Eventually she became part of a popular noontime show. Now, Marian Rivera is arguably GMA-7's primetime queen, having been the lead of two highly successful telenovelas so far: Marimar and Dyesebel, which will have its grand finale this week. She and leading man Dingdong Dantes are set to star in yet another primetime blockbuster soon.
Apart from being blessed with beautiful genes and mestiza features (she's half-Spanish), we wonder how Marian maintains her flawless skin. We also would like to find out how she dresses in real life, since we often just see her either in Marimar's laidback mini-beach frocks or in Dyesebel garb (complete with mermaid's tail).
Marian took time off her busy schedule during the last taping day of Dyesebel to answer some Style questions for FemaleNetwork.
What's your skin care regimen?
Simple lang: Sa sobrang busy ng sched ko, hindi ako madalas nakakapunta sa Facial Care. Pero hangga’t may time, nagpupunta ako doon.
Ang unang-una kong ginagawa—siyempre sa TV nagme-makeup ako ‘di ba? Kahit ano’ng pagod ko, hindi ako matutulog hangga’t hindi ako naglalagay ng makeup [remover], toner, at moisturizer. ‘Yun lang solved na ‘ko.
What's your beauty secret?
Naniniwala ako na dapat lang masaya ka. At saka enjoy ka sa trabaho mo kahit na puyat ka, kahit wala kang tulog, basta ine-enjoy mo, masaya ka. ‘Yun ang pinaka-tip talaga: maging masaya ka.
What's your fashion statement?
Simpleng tao lang ako. Kung ano ‘yung okay, okay. Kung hindi, hindi. Kung kaya ‘kong dalhin, go; kung hindi, huwag. Comfort over style lang.
Where do you shop?
Actually hindi na ako madalas nakakapunta ng mall. Nakakapag-shopping lang ako kapag pumupunta kami sa ibang bansa: tulad nung nag-New Jersey kami, nag-New York. Pero kapag dito, madalang.
What do you love to wear?
T-shirt lang ako at saka jogging pants. Kapag taping, ganun lang ako. Gusto ko ‘yung komportable ako. Kapag kailangan kong mag-ayos, dress. Simula noong nag-Marimar ako, mahilig na akong mag-dress. Before pants, sando, and rubber shoes. Siyempre from Karimadon [ang dresses].

si marian, simple lang talaga syang tao kasi nkita ko na sya sa airport nung nagbyahe kami from Davao, masasabi ko na isa syang magandang modelo para sa mga kababaihan,maganda syang talaga at hindi nakasawa ang beauty nya.
