Philippine Fashion Week 2008 (Part 1): from Luxe to Street

Check out FN’s coverage of Philippine Fashion Week 2008, which ran from May 26 to June 3, 2008. 120 designers from all over the Philippines, both new and recognized in the industry, had gathered to showcase their artistry and talent as they presented their Spring and Summer ‘08 collections.

Philippine Fashion Week 2008 (Part 1): from Luxe to Street

May 26th marked the opening ceremony of PFW8. Dubbed “GLIMPSES: A Dawn of a New Decade”, the first day provided a glimpse of what’s to come on the next eight days.

The second day at SMX Convention Center, May 27th, featured designs in luxury dressing by Luxe Wear Collection A with designers: Aldrich Aparicio, Arnold Galang, Chris Diaz, Dimple Lim, Jay Sustiguer, John Paras, Melvin Lachica, Mich Duice, Mitzi Quilendrino-Bustos, Pencil Diestra, Reian Mata, Renee Salud, Rolando Lirio, and Shanon Pamaong.

Raoul Ramirez went solo for Premier Collection A, themed Street Wear.

The New Generation Collection featured young designers Alodia Cecilia, Anna Lean Salvador, Ciege Cagalawan, Dax Bayani, Gerswin Qua, Gionna Cabrera, Gretchen Pichay, Lizanne Cua, Marc Rancy, Nikki Sonico, Patrick Galang and Prisara Morales.
