Olay introduces laserless anti-aging solution, new brand ambassador

Nov 29, 2008 by FN's Trixie Reyna

Tweetie_De_Leon_Gonzalez_2.jpgAfter making waves in the United States, United Kingdom, China, Australia, Singapore, and other countries where it is already a leading anti-aging product, Olay Regenerist, the skin care brand’s premium anti-aging line, finally lands on Philippine shores.

It is reportedly among the international skin care products that a lot of Filipinas have been waiting for here, as proven by the enthusiasm readers showed when we first announced its arrival on ShopCrazy. Previously, the only way they could avail of the product was by having relatives abroad buy it for them; now, they don’t have to, as the line is readily available in leading department stores and drug stores.

Olay didn’t stop with that major launch, however. With their new premium line, they needed to introduce a new brand ambassador who epitomizes what the impressive skin care line stands for. And they have chosen Tweetie de Leon-Gonzalez, considered one of the most successful models in Philippine history, making her modeling debut at 14 and soon rising to the top of her field. After gracing the catwalk and magazine covers for 14 years, she decided to leave the world of modeling to pursue a new role: that of a wife and mother.

Yet she continues to be a role model for women of all ages, as she maintains a healthy lifestyle and involves herself in advocacies for awareness and conservation of the environment. She also remains involved in the fashion world as a modeling school teacher and jewelry designer, with her business, Ice Crystals, now carried not only in Rustan’s, but even in Paul Smith stores in London and Los Angeles. She was also recently recognized as one of Marie Claire’s Women of the World and as part of Preview’s Best Dressed list for 2008.

And what really is so special about the brand Tweetie represents and that a lot of Filipino women have been anticipating? Find out on the next page.
