Celebrity daughter Jocas de Leon becomes your personal shopper

jocas1.jpgWe often see children of celebrities following in their parents’ showbiz footsteps: think KC Concepcion, Luis Manzano, Karylle, and Richard Gutierrez, just to name a few. Yet one celebrity daughter dares to step out of her comedian-host dad’s shadow by taking the fashion route—still on television nonetheless.

Jocas de Leon, 25, eldest daughter of Joey de Leon, spent six years in New York, where she got her BA then MA in Economics at Fordham University before taking fashion courses at Fashion Institute of Technology. Now back in the Philippines where she has been working as a merchandiser for one of the biggest local department store chains, Jocas adds another feather to her cap by taking on a hosting job in Q Channel 11’s magazine show, Fashionistas By Heart, which premieres tonight at 7PM.

Hard-to-find popular beauty brands in locally-owned online store

Are there cosmetic brands you swear by that are unfortunately not available in the Philippines? Would you like to try ordering them through the brands’ online stores but are worried that the product will never arrive, even after you’ve paid?

A new online beauty store addresses both concerns. Former Miss Philippines title-holder Tamera Marie Szijarto, 25, wanted to begin a business that involved something she loves, thus TameraOnline.com was born. Combining her background as a computer engineer and love for everything beautiful, the online store sells internationally popular beauty products, which Tamera also patronizes, that are not available in the Philippines.
