All eyes are on London this year. Unless you've been living under a rock for the past few months, you don't need to ask why. For the clueless, however, let me put it out there: London is the site of the 30th Olympic Games, which is scheduled from the end of July to mid-August. And while the quadrennial ceremony will end on August 12, it's safe to say that the Olympic festivities will be the subject of many conversations, discussions, and analyses for years to come. Rio 2016 won't be for another couple of years, so we have a long time to nitpick on every little detail.
Anyway, while I'm not particularly sporty, I am tuning in to the matches this year because, well, it's the Olympics. Besides, it's London, which is my absolute favorite city in the world. You can say I'm a complete sucker for anything to do with Team GB (and Northern Island, for that matter)—from its fashion, music, literature, and people—name it and I'm sure I've expressed a liking over it at one point in my life. But as much as I'd love to talk to you about my love for the Harry Potter series or my undying obsession for television shows like The Inbetweeners and Sherlock, I can't; this being a fashion blog and all.
Not that I'm complaining, though. In fact, British fashion is probably the one element of Brit culture I love most. So, in honor of London 2012, browse through the gallery for my 5 favorite fashion inspirations from Old Blighty.
