5 Date Dresses Worn by TV and Film Femmes

What better thing to don on Valentine's Day than a darling dress? By Patricia Dayacap

article_date-outfits-2.jpgIn the run-up to Valentine's Day, things tend to get crazy—especially for the loved-up couples striving to make 2012's date even more special than those from past years. Though far from reaching the same level of hysteria we normally associate with, say, Christmas, we Filipinos do like getting caught up in the warm, fuzzy, romantic feel of it all.

But amid all the dinner reservations, cheesy Hallmark cards, and extravagant flower arrangements, one particular element has to be most significant of all—for us women, at least. I'm talking, of course, about the outfit. That show-stopping, head-turning, jaw-dropping ensemble you put together in the hopes of stealing his heart again and again and again. Out of all the days and dates in the year, Valentine's Day just may be the time to pull out all the stops, wardrobe-wise.

So what should you wear? Well, I, for one, am a sucker for a good dress. Sure, trousers can be chic and feminine when styled properly. But why wear a pair on the most romantic of days when you can strut and shimmy in a beautiful dress? When you need to look like the picture of perfection, you just can't go wrong with a dress.

And though I highly doubt you still need encouragement, I've provided a little visual reinforcement. Below are five fictional femmes from television and film who wooed and won their dates in the perfect dress.
