10 Fashion Bloggers to Follow

In need of a little fashion inspiration? Turn to these tech-savvy stylistas. By Patricia Dayacap

article_fashion-blogs.jpgIn mid-2009, as I was idly browsing Chuvaness (a former guilty pleasure), I came across a newly launched website called Bloglovin'. Touted as "the easiest way to follow your favorite blogs," Bloglovin' allows you to view the latest updates from your followed blogs in one simple, easy-to-use page. Needless to say, I was sold. Prior to using the website, I was pretty much running around like a headless chicken, with no systematic way of tracking the latest from fashion blogging pioneers like Rumi of Fashion Toast and Jane of Sea of Shoes. It may sound like a tad much ("Honey, this fashion blogging, not rocket science"), but I can get obsessive.

Soon enough, Bloglovin' became my most visited website. No day was complete if I couldn't log on and get my fill of the creative outfits these ladies come up with. Naturally, my blogroll grew as I was exposed to more and more  virtual homes of women all over the globe (and all over the globe they truly are—off the top of my head, I regularly check out blogs by fashionistas in Poland, Hong Kong, Australia, Moldova, and Israel).

But if you think an exotic locale or designer labels are what attract me to a blog, I beg to differ. While similar style preferences and well-photographed images are a plus, what really draws me in to a blogger is the obvious joy she has in putting outfits together. Her outfits may not be dripping with expensive labels or the latest trends, she may be wearing pieces from two years ago: it doesn't matter. What I value most is her passion for style—and that, ultimately, is the most inspirational of all.

While I would love to share with you all the ones on my list (which is well in the hundreds), that's just not possible. Instead, I'd like to share 10 current favorites. I hope these ladies inspire you as much as they inspire me—and I hope their blogs become your favorites too. Have any fashion bloggers you want me to check out? Leave a comment below!
