Which type of partner are you?

You may be the party girl, the responsible daughter, or the leader in your barkada. But when it comes to relationships, which type of girlfriend are you? By Jason Dayrit

Every relationship is different, and there’s no hard and fast rule as to what people should and shouldn’t be in a relationship. After all, guys are attracted to different types of girls for a multitude of reasons. Most men will go for someone who enjoys similar interests but with personalities that complement their own.

Are you the chill kind of girlfriend or are you more of the romantic type? Take the quiz to find out!

1 .) It’s date night! What do you have in mind?
  1. We'll have an alfresco dinner, to be followed by a movie marathon at home.
  2. We'll have a candlelit dinner for two with a four-piece string quartet to serenade us.
  3. We'll drop by Banchetto at Pioneer or Mercato at the Fort, where there are lots of yummy dishes to try.
  4. I made a reservation at a hotel restaurant that’s close to where my last meeting will be held, so he will just meet me there.
2 .) Your guy wants to go and watch a big basketball game with the boys. What do you do?
  1. I remind him not to get too rowdy before letting him go with his barkada.
  2. I remind him to text often before reluctantly letting him go.
  3. I tell him to text me the results. I'm a big basketball fan, but it’s been a while since my guy has seen his barkada, so I'll let them have fun.
  4. I plan a girls’ night out and offer to meet up afterward for a bigger group gimik.
3 .) It’s your first time to meet his parents. What’s the plan?
  1. I'll bring a bottle of their favorite wine.
  2. I’ll make my signature macaroni salad with extra love!
  3. This is why I have a few emergency frilly dresses--time to break one out!
  4. I already downloaded a great muffin recipe off the Internet. Time to get baking!
4 .) Your man hasn’t texted or called you last night. What do you do?
  1. He probably fell asleep already. I’ll text him later when I know he’s awake.
  2. I call him up first thing in the morning--all this worrying is making me crazy!
  3. I let him sleep. I’m already out biking anyway; we can meet up later after my ride.
  4. I'll head straight to his house and yank him out of bed--the weekend’s not over and we still have errands to run.
5 .) He forgot his wallet, but you’ve already been seated at the restaurant! What now?
  1. We still haven’t ordered. Time to ditch this place and have an equally awesome street food date!
  2. Aww, he can be such a baby sometimes! I’ll pretend to get mad at him so he can treat me out on our next date.
  3. No biggie, I’ll foot the bill.
  4. I tell him I’ll pay for the meal but he’d better make up for it in bed later.
6 .) It’s his birthday! What do you get him?
  1. I'll buy him a pair of sneakers that he has been eyeing for a while.
  2. I’ll surprise him with a garden party at a friend’s house.
  3. I'll surprise him with tickets to Bohol. We’ve always wanted to go back there.
  4. I'll book us a room at our favorite hotel for the weekend. I love pampering him!
7 .) You’ve already made plans to go out separately with friends, but your guy suddenly calls and says his night out plans got canceled at the last minute. What do you do?
  1. I'll agree to have an early dinner, but I'll ask him drop me off to where my friends are afterward.
  2. I’ll cancel my plans so I can be with him!
  3. I'll ask him to join us--my girlfriends can pick on him for getting ditched.
  4. I'll just tell him to pick me up after my barkada dinner.
8 .) Your argument just turned into a nasty fight. How do you deal?
  1. We’re both adults, so there's no use shouting at each other. We’ll talk once we’ve calmed down.
  2. I'll walk out and give him the silent treatment. I need to be calm and collected.
  3. I'll offer a truce by silently going out for ice cream to cool our heads. Shouting won’t get us anywhere.
  4. I'll go for a walk, as it usually calms my nerves.
9 .) It’s your anniversary, but your guy can’t leave the office because he’s swamped with work. What's your Plan B?
  1. I’ll have a quick dinner with him so we can make plans for the weekend.
  2. I’ll surprise him and his office mates with cake. There's nothing like a sugar rush to get those reports done quickly!
  3. We have our special weekend date anyway so it's not a big deal. Everyone gets swamped with work nowadays.
  4. I’ll pick him up after he’s done. He can make up for missing our anniversary dinner over the weekend.
10 .) Your girl friends describe you as:
  1. The relaxed one
  2. A real-life Disney princess
  3. One of the boys
  4. The leader who's not afraid to speak her mind
