One of the chapters of He’s Just Not That Into You: The No-Excuses Truth to Understanding Guys reads: “He’s Just Not That Into You If He’s Not Calling You.” We saw how this was illustrated in the film version of the book by Greg Behrendt and Liz Tuccillo which hit theaters last Wednesday.
According to the book and this article, women should always wait for the guy to call or text them first to avoid seeming overeager, consequently turning the man off.
Fans of the book and/or movie or not, some women can’t seem to resist calling or texting men first. They even cook up reasons to justify this action, ranging from just wanting to say hi or ask a question or favor to thinking that it would make the guy feel better if he receives a call from her—something like that.
In a society where men are generally still expected to make the first move (and the first call), we’re just curious how many of you actually have no qualms about initiating the call.
We'd like to know: will you initiate the call after a guy you're dating fails to touch base for some time?
