Do you feel a pang of jealousy whenever your significant other is being a little too friendly with his female co-workers? Although being jealous from time to time is normal, experiencing jealousy every day can be problematic not only for you, but for your partner as well. Here’s how you should deal with jealousy to maintain a happy and healthy relationship with your man.

Talk about your feelings.

Sit down with your man and tell him what you feel–honestly. Keeping your feelings bottled up while ignoring your emotions is a recipe for disaster. Don't wait until you lose your cool. Make sure you stay calm and collected when discussing issues with your guy–don’t make the discussion seem like an interrogation.

Look at things differently.
Do you usually jump to conclusions whenever your partner doesn’t answer his phone? Instead of thinking of worst-case scenarios, consider other reasons why he’s not picking up. He could be in a meeting or out for lunch and left his phone. It's also possible that his battery died. Thinking of the worst will only stress you out. Remember, there are always two sides to a story.

Try to gain more information.

Jealousy is usually a result of personal insecurities as well as of suspicions and doubts over your partner. According to Robert L. Leahy Ph.D., you’re worried that your partner might find someone else more appealing and you’re afraid that he or she will reject you. Before you conclude anything based on the little information you have, try to dig deeper and gain more info–carefully! Avoid confrontations without enough evidence, so you don’t even up looking like an overly jealous girlfriend or wife.
