Female Network had a chance to chat with professional pet groomers Deb Ryan and Sharon Hall, who were flown in by Wahl Clipper Corporation to give a grooming demonstration for the Pet Express Pet Expo last July 28. The two have been in the pet grooming business for decades--Sharon has been a pet groomer for 17 years, while Deb has been in the industry for 22 years. Together, they jointly run the International Grooming Company, an educational institution based in Australia that aims to provide aspiring pet groomers the necessary skills they need to excel in their craft.
"I have developed a qualification for grooming over the last eight years. I've written training manuals, trainer's guides, and online sources for people who are interested in grooming. I've also given seminars and practical training. We [Sharon and I] travel to give workshops and seminars to teach people the fine art of grooming. We do it all around Australia, and we're lucky enough to be invited by Wahl to come to the Philippines," Deb shares.
