CARA Philippines Urges People to Think of Homeless Pets on Mother's Day

The animal welfare organization urges everyone to donate, sponsor, or adopt in the hope of giving some fur babies a home for Mother's Day.

Though Mother's Day is usually used to celebrate mommies of human babies, it might be said that it's an important day for mommies who've adopted fur babies and made them part of their families too.

That's why the folks at Compassion and Responsibility for Animals (CARA) Welfare Philippines are urging you to adopt or sponsor one of the homeless pets, or donate to the organization for the upkeep of its charges. And even if you don't consider your pets your "babies," it would still be a great gift of love if you could donate in your mom's name.

Karla Kangleon, who does events and PR for CARA Philippines, shares this message: "Let's celebrate Mother's Day by saving the life of a homeless pet. Adopt, sponsor, or donate in honor of your mother. Happy Mother's Day!"

For details on donation, sponsorship, or adoption, go to www.CARAPhil.org. You can also check out CARA Philippines on Facebook.

Even if you don't have the cash or items to donate to CARA or sponsor a pet and you aren't able to adopt one, you can still help the cause by spreading the word about this effort. Share this article with your friends, or tell them about CARA Philippines.

i have just one concern...a few days ago, i sent a mail to PALS requesting to rescue a dog within the vicinity of arellano, near south super highway in san andres. last night as i was going to feed the dog, he wasn't there anymore. i wonder if your group were the ones who rescued the dog because a lady said that there were poeple with dog carrier took the dog. the dog was just roaming around the area with broken right front leg and is always shaking. please let me know if your group happened to rescue the poor dog. i am so worried about him. i am hoping that he is in good hands. the lady who saw the 3 people who took the dog said that one of them was a foreign national. thank you and GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU for your love and concern to animals...
