Sloths may have a bad reputation as the lazybones of the animal kingdom, but in reality, these guys are just naturally content, mellow, and peace-loving. After all, when you already have everything you’ll ever need in the trees where you live, why would you bother stressing yourself out, right? However, when baby sloths get abandoned by their mothers, it’s not a very happy picture anymore. This is where the Aviarios Del Caribe sloth sanctuary in Costa Rica steps in--this unique orphanage rescues helpless baby sloths and ensures that they are well taken care of.
