If you’re Catholic, it’s likely that you’ve engaged in the practice of giving something up for Lent. This is normally something like your favorite food, an activity you enjoy, or other indulgences. Many are so committed to sharing in the spirit of sacrifice and self-denial that they sustain their Lenten promises for the recommended 40 days.
