Janelle Manahan: "Series of Attempts" Made on Ramgen Revilla's Life before His Murder

In an interview with Boy Abunda on The Bottomline on January 14, Janelle Manahan, Ramgen Revilla's girlfriend, said Genelyn Bautista's previous statement about Janelle being the killer's real target was untrue. "Meron ng attempts, series of attempts [on Ramgen's life] before the incident," she is quoted as saying on PEP.ph.

Janelle told of at least one previous attempt, in which the assailant went to Ramgen's room but left without doing anything. He contacted her afterwards. "Parang nung the way na kinausap niya ako or the way na minessage niya ako, parang nagtataka lang siya kung bakit (The way he talked to me or the way he messaged me showed he was puzzled by what happened)," she said. "Hindi niya rin iniisip na may papatay sa kanya. Iniisip niya baka raw magnanakaw lang or kung sino. Pero tinatanong niya nga sa akin bakit sa kuwarto niya kumakatok nang ganung oras. (He didn't think someone was trying to kill him. He just thought it might be a burglar or someone else. But he asked me why someone was knocking at his door specifically at that hour.)

Ramgen didn't report the incident to the police, Janelle said, because when he asked someone to check, they didn't find anyone waiting outside.

Janelle also said she didn't regret making the sex video with Ramgen that circulated on the net earlier this month. "May tiwala ako dun sa tao. And mahal ko si Ramgen and matagal kaming magkarelasyon. So, wala akong makitang masama dun sa ginawa ko. (I trust him. And I love him, and we've been together for a long time. So I don't see anything wrong with what I did.)"

She also left a message for Ramgen. "I love you so much. And hindi ako titigil kahit ano pang ibato nila sa akin na paninira. (I won't stop no matter what they throw at me to ruin my reputation.) Nothing's gonna stop me [until I] find justice for Ramgen."
