People around the globe celebrated World AIDS Day on December 1 by wearing a red shirt or a red ribbon pinned to their clothes. To help spread awareness about human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS) locally, some celebrities participated in a photo shoot to promote the Love Yourself Project, a program that aims to prevent the number of cases of HIV and AIDS from increasing through educating and counseling the youth. Some of its projects include free and confidential HIV testing and information dissemination through social networks.
You can help the cause by participating in Love Yourself's photo shoots. The next one will be held on December 18 from 12:00 NN to 8:oo PM at 88 Panay Avenue, Quezon City. You can register online at the project's website. Donating P1,000 will give you a Love Yourself T-shirt or singlet, grooming services for the shoot, and one digital photo layout. If you want to help in a different way, you can also sign up to become a volunteer.
