The Department of Tourism revealed its new campaign slogan, "It's more fun in the Philippines," on January 6, Interaksyon.com reports. While some netizens pointed out that a 1951 tour ad for Switzerland used a similar slogan, media personalities and celebrities were quick to show their support by joining the "#itsmorefuninthephilippines" hashtag campaign on Twitter. Filipinos all over the globe also Tweeted using the tag, which had it trending worldwide.

Scroll through the gallery below to see some memorable Tweets from celebrities and prominent personalities including posts from author Neil Gaiman (Stardust, Sandman series) and actresses Ruffa Gutierrez and Anne Curtis. How about you, FNites? Why do you think it's more fun in the Philippines? Leave a comment to let us know!
