Are you used to staying up late, waking up early, and not having enough rest in between? You may need to expect yourself to look quite haggard in the morning not only because you’re feeling fatigued, but also because your continuous pagpupuyat ages your skin.

According to a feature on WebMD, sleeplessness won’t only give you puffy eyes, it can also rob your skin of its usual glow and create wrinkles. When you skip sleep, your body loses the opportunity to create new collagen, the protein which keeps your skin from sagging. Moreover, sleeplessness causes your body stress, pushing it to produce much more of the stress hormone cortisol. Too much cortisol can break down what's left of the collagen in your skin, which is why your face feels more sunken and unhealthy after continuous lack of rest.

Do yourself a favor and get at the very least seven hours of sleep, as anything less than five hours can start you early on those fine lines around your eyes and mouth. Don’t forget to do your nightly beauty regimen to help your skin stay hydrated while you get your much-deserved zzz’s!
