With only five months left before we welcome 2017, Malacañang releases the official list of regular and special non-working days for next year. The list is comprised of 10 regular holidays, and seven special non-working days. Apart from the official Monday holidays, October 31 (Tuesday), is also a non-working day. 

2. Three new Harry Potter books are coming out (From

Watch out, Potterheads! Just weeks after the The Cursed Child came out, it was announced that three new Harry Potter e-books are to be released. Around September, the Pottermore Presents series will start with three new books: Short Stories from Hogwarts of Power, Politics and Pesky Poltergeists; Short Stories from Hogwarts of Heroism, Hardship and Dangerous Hobbies; and Hogwarts: An Incomplete and Unreliable Guide. All three books are available for pre-order, through leading retailers.

3. National Library of the Philippines opens its door for free (From
Bookworms, it's time to visit the National Library of the Philippines! Having just celebrated their 129th anniversary this month, the NLP opened its doors to the public for free. You'll be able to enjoy the massive print and multimedia digital collections without paying the entrance fee or having a library card. Best of all, the NLP also has free Wi-Fi.

4. Sandara Park returns to Philippine TV (From
Sandara Park is about to return to Philippine TV as she will be one of the judges of Pinoy Boyband Superstar, ABS-CBN's upcoming reality-talent search. The 2NE1 member expresses her excitement with her return, and stresses that she look forwards to discovering a group of guys who both look and sound great. She will be co-judging with Vice Ganda, Yeng Constantino, and Aga Muhlach.

5. Woman of the Week: Lang Leav releases her her fourth book (From

Lang Leav will once again grace her fans with her fourth release, The Universe of Us (Exclusive Special Edition). Her special edition book features a poem she composed last Valentine's day for AlDub's Maine Mendoza. The best-selling author also wrote a letter dedicated to her Filipino readers.
