By now, we're sure you've heard of the campaign against cervical cancer, and a lot of you have perhaps even gotten your cervical cancer vaccine shots in hopes of being safe from the disease. Yet aside from spreading awareness and getting vaccinated, there are more ways to fight the disease.

You can join bikers in "Dare to Be Bold," the five-day, 500km Tour of Hope bike tour that would last from May 24 to 28. The charity cycling event takes on the Southern Luzon route, which starts at Muntinlupa City and ends in Camarines Sur. Just like in last year's Tour of Hope, doctors from the Cervical Cancer Protection Network (CECAP) will hold lay lectures about cervical cancer prevention and vaccination at every stop.
Well-known athletes such as Mayor Abraham Tolentino of Tagaytay, who is an avid rider, and extreme sports enthusiast and champion wakeboarder Jeena Llames-Lopez will join Tour of Hope 2009. Jeena will be riding with Team David's Salon, the Philippines' first all-women multi-sport team. "Riding for 500 kilometers is no joke and it’s hard for me, but this is nothing next to cancer," Jeena said.
