Sophia Bush's fitness regimen

Oct 14, 2008 by FN's Shar Bareng

sophiabush_onetreehill.jpgHollywood has high standards for its stars, putting too much premium on girls who fit in size 0 clothes and classifying size 2 as curvy. But One Tree Hill star Sophia Bush begs to differ by loving her curvy figure and defining being healthy as being able to climb mountains even when she reaches old age, instead of being included in a "Hot 100" list alongside stars like Jessica Alba.

"It's important to remind young women that even skinny girls have cellulite, even Halle Berry has cellulite, and what you see in photos isn't totally real," Sophia said in her interview as cover girl for Health magazine's October issue.

With good health as her lifelong mission, the 26-year-old star is proud of being a non-smoker and a food lover to boot. "I think it's healthy when fitness experts encourage fitness rather than getting a certain body shape," she said. "And I'm Italian--I love food. I'm not going to cut out bread and pasta and wine to be thinner."

So what keeps Sophia looking good?

Aside from working out four days a week with her trainer, Sophia also loves boxing. "It's a good thing as a woman to feel powerful, and boxing is a great way to work out all your aggression," she shares.

But Sophia is also concerned about other health matters such as osteoporosis. In her interview with Health magazine, she admits to being obsessed with VibraSlim, a vibrating plate that shakes out the muscles and helps build bone density. Meanwhile, she combats stress by going to the gym or calling her mom or best friends.
