Health tip: Eat a banana before you swim

Apr 4, 2008 by FN's Shar Bareng

tips-bananas.jpgOur parents always tell us never to eat before we take a dip, but just in case you get hungry before swimming, it's best to eat a banana. After all, you need all the energy from the carbohydrates. Plus, the potassium in bananas packs a lot of muscle power that you'll definitely need for the legwork, whether you're competing or swimming just for fun!
