Do you find yourself responding to hunger more than your man does?

An interesting study recently suggested that women are less able to suppress their hunger than men, which may explain the higher obesity rate for women.
After fasting overnight and being taught to ignore hunger pangs, 13 women and 10 men underwent brain scans as they were presented with their favorite food. While all said they were able to control their urges, the scans showed that the part of the brain that responds to food remained active in women.
Scientists point out that hormones may have something to do with it, but research by Gene-Jack Wang and his colleagues from Brookhaven National Laboratory considered the female's role in providing nutrition as one of the possible explanations for the results.
Does this new study suddenly make you wonder about your attitude toward food? Looking back, did you ever notice that perhaps you ate more than men you know—say, a friend, family member, boyfriend or husband? We're interested to know what you think.
