4 Tips on Coping with High Cholesterol

If your family is beset by high cholesterol problems, you have to be prepared to make a few lifestyle changes. By Lou E. Albano

healthHigh blood cholesterol, or hypercholesterolemia, is a problem that hounds many Filipinos. It’s not surprising, given our partiality to fatty foods. Normal cholesterol levels go up to around 200 milligrams/deciliter. Anywhere between 200 mg/dL and 220 mg/dL is on the borderline. Above 200 is considered high. In order to live well even if you have hypercholesterolemia, you have to make certain sacrifices that will not only affect you, but also the rest of your family.
