We know you girls just can't get enough of McDreamy Patrick Dempsey. Well, neither can we! So we're thrilled that Columbia Pictures is finally releasing Made of Honor in Manila, the newest romantic comedy starring our favorite doctor!
In Made of Honor, Patrick plays Tom, a sexy, successful ladies' man who is stunned after his best friend, Hannah (Michelle Monaghan) asks him to be her "maid" of honor at her wedding. Hmm, My Best Friend’s Wedding much? The difference of course, is that here, it’s the guy who's desperate to stop the wedding and steal the groom's lady.
"It's a fun, sweet, old-fashioned romantic comedy," Dempsey says, "And it was a perfect opportunity for me to do something different but at the same time get to play a romantic character."
For her part, Monaghan jumped at the chance to explore her goofier side in Made of Honor. "I had just completed Gone Baby Gone and hadn't done a full-blown romantic comedy," she says. And surprise - she's a McDreamy fan just like the rest of us! "So I read this script and really liked it for obvious reasons, as well as the fact I was a huge fan of Patrick Dempsey and Grey's Anatomy, although I was too embarrassed to tell him that!" she chuckles.
Made of Honor opens in local cinemas on June 11, with sneak previews today and tomorrow in selected theaters.
