This month’s crop of Hollywood movies boasts of A-list actors and hot young stars we would surely love to see on the big screen!

From the dashing Richard Gere to the irresistibly handsome and talented Leonardo Di Caprio, as well as the dynamic High School Musical gang that the young ones go gaga over, these Hollywood eye-candies will surely keep us going to the cinemas almost each weekend of the month.

Body of Lies (opens October 9)
Leonardo DiCaprio and Russell Crowe collide in Warner Bros.’ new gripping action-thriller Body of Lies, from director Ridley Scott (of American Gangster and Black Hawk Down fame). Adapted by William Monahan, the Oscar-winning screenwriter of The Departed, from Washington Post columnist David Ignatius' intricately plotted espionage novel of the same name, Body of Lies presents the most stinging screen portrayal of American foreign policy and anti-terrorism by any Hollywood studio movie in recent memory.

The film offers plenty of other exciting visual treats for moviegoers, tautly paced around shootouts, car chases, and lushly photographed explosions. It may be sounding more and more like a guy movie to you, but surely any movie with both Russell Crowe and Leonardo DiCaprio doing an acting showdown in it is worth watching.

Pineapple Express (opens October 15, exclusively in Ayala Cinemas)

Gorgeously intense James Franco (Spider-Man) ditches his serious persona and returns to his comic roots as he stars alongside Freaks and Geeks co-star and real-life buddy Seth Rogen (Knocked-Up) in Columbia Pictures’ new action-comedy about two lazy guys on the run and their comic attempt to stay one step ahead of a band of vicious killers. Pineapple Express will be shown exclusively in Ayala Malls Cinemas (Glorietta 4 & Greenbelt 3) beginning October 15.

Nights in Rodanthe (opens October 22)
Richard Gere and Diane Lane reunite onscreen in Warner Bros.’ new romantic drama, based on the Nicholas Sparks best-selling novel about two people who discover there is always a second chance to find the love of your life. James Franco also stars.

In the film, Adrienne (Lane), a woman still reeling from her husband’s betrayal and struggling to rebuild a life without him, has just learned that he wants to come home. Torn by conflicting feelings, she welcomes the chance for escape when an old friend asks her to manage her inn in Rodanthe for a weekend. It’s the off-season and the inn would be shuttered but for the unlikely arrival of its solitary guest, Paul (Gere), a doctor from the city, who long ago sacrificed his family for his career. Two strangers sharing the same roof, they turn to each other for comfort when a major storm closes in, setting in motion a life-changing romance. It is a sweeping love story in the Nicholas Sparks tradition.

High School Musical 3: Senior Year (opens October 24)
The all-singing, all-dancing exploits of the clean-cut captain of the Wildcats, Troy Bolton (Zac Efron), beautiful brainiac Gabriella Montez (Vanessa Hudgens), and scheming rich girl Sharpay Evans (Ashley Tisdale) are brought to the big screen with the release of Walt Disney Pictures’ High School Musical 3: Senior Year. Efron, Hudgens, and Tisdale join Lucas Grabeel, Corbin Bleu, and Monique Coleman as they all reprise the roles they created in the international smash hit High School Musical and the record-breaking High School Musical 2. Kenny Ortega, who helmed the first two films for Disney Channel, once again directs, adding new duties as executive producer.

The film finds high school seniors Troy and Gabriella facing the prospect of separation as they head off to different colleges. Joined by the rest of the Wildcats, they stage an elaborate spring musical reflecting their experiences, hopes and fears about the future.
