After the first week of makeovers and workshops, Pinoy Idol bid goodbye to four aspiring contestants: Bev Ejercito, who does a mix of R&B, rock, and jazz; pop singer Drizzle Muniz; Dio Paulo, who croons pop and ballads, and balladeer Elliot Andal.

The eliminations from top 20 shouldn't be that much of a shocker, but Raymond Gutierrez's quick announcement of the boot for for Bev, Drizzle, Dio, and Elliot without reviewing the judges' comments was quite abrupt. On the plus side, it looked like a relief, especially since prolonging the agony for the bottom four contestants makes eliminations even worse.
And whoa, they're using Chris Daughtry's "Home" as the goodbye song for the eliminated contestants, which I don't think I'm comfortable with, especially after the first four to be eliminated choked up too much while singing. Raise your hands if you think it's cruel to let the eliminated sing after getting booted out, a la American Idol--and if you'd rather hear Daughtry himself singing these kids home.
Do you agree with this week's eliminations? And who do you think are the next four to get the ax from Raymond next week?
