Move over, Johnny and June

Reese Witherspoon's June Carter is a hard act to follow, and she had the Oscar for Best Actress to prove it. Still, it might be fun to watch Jenna Fischer (the Emmy-nominated star of "The Office") do a parody of June Carter along with John C. Reilly as larger-than-life musician Dewey Cox in the upcoming movie, Walk Hard.

Jenna plays Darlene, Dewey's backup singer who eventually becomes his second wife. At first, Jenna was interested in playing Dewey's first wife, Edith, but when she was asked to try a few lines with Reilly, everything came together.

As Dewey, John C. Reilly spoofs just about everything cliche that a rock star does--from sleeping with 411 women to marrying three of them, having 22 kids and 14 stepchildren, collecting friends ranging from Elvis to the Beatles, and gets addicted to every drug known to man. Still, he grows into a national icon and eventually earns the love of a good woman.

Dewey and Darlene make good (and hilarious!) songs together, much like Johnny Cash and June Carter did in real life. For some laughs, watch the video below of their song, "Let’s Duet."

Walk Hard is showing exclusively at the Ayala Cinemas (Glorietta 4 and Greenbelt 3). Go catch it now!
