Can't get enough of the Juno soundtrack? If you're a fan of the movie's music, then you'll be pleased to know that a second soundtrack called Juno B-Sides: Almost Adopted Songs will be released on iTunes tomorrow, April 8. You know what this means--more of Kimya Dawson's quirky songs, funky covers (including a Kimya version of Barry Louis Polisar's "All I Want Is You"), and a song written by Juno star Ellen Page! There are also a couple of songs from Barry Louis Polisar and Belle and Sebastian, who have also contributed tunes for the first soundtrack that reached the No. 1 spot on the US Billboard 200 in January. Here's the complete tracklist of Juno B-Sides:- "Twentieth Century Fox Fanfare" -- Kimya Dawson
- "Me and You" -- Barry Louis Polisar
- "My Wandering Days are Over" -- Belle and Sebastian
- "Kite" -- Mateo Messina
- "Viva La Persistance" -- Kimya Dawson
- "Little Baby" -- The Bristols
- "I'm Into Something Good" -- Jr. James and the Late Guitar
- "Meet the McGuffs" -- Mateo Messina
- "Once I Loved" -- Astrud Gilberto
- "All I Want is You" -- Kimya Dawson
- "Learning the Game" -- Buddy Holly
- "Meet the Lorings" -- Mateo Messina
- "Besame Mucho" -- Trio Los Panchos
- "You Can Have It All" -- Yo La Tengo
- "Zub Zub" -- Ellen Page
Plus, a little trivia: The songs in this album didn't make the final cut for the film, but director Jason Reitman says these songs are still part of the "Junoverse," particularly "Zub Zub," with lyrics that were made up by Ellen Page. One of the deleted scenes had Ellen as Juno fooling around with the guitar and singing lyrics like "He filled me with baby batter, then we ate some orange Tic Tacs after." Isn't that cute or what? Hopefully that'll come out in the DVD, too.
Unfortunately, us folks here in the Philippines don't have an iTunes store yet, but if you have a relative in the US or any country with an iTunes store, maybe they can help you get your Juno fix.
