How romantic comedies may help you get a better love life

We know that some things happen only in movies, but we also can't deny that we learn lessons about life from them. So, if you're caught in the same sticky situation with your boss just like Bridget Jones, what advice can you get from her experience? Would you give online dating a shot, just like Meg Ryan's character in You've Got Mail?

Yahoo! Movies sums up ten lessons we can learn from well-beloved romantic comedies such as My Big Fat Greek Wedding, Hairspray, When Harry Met Sally, and even raunchy comedies that eventually prove to be romantic such as The 40-Year-Old Virgin. From Four Weddings and a Funeral, for instance, Yahoo says, "Don't be afraid to mingle at weddings"—cutesy as it may sound, you really never know if your friend's best man could be your future groom! My Big Fat Greek Wedding, meanwhile, shows how getting along with your beau’s family can really go a long way.

And while Hitch may be a dating coach, it doesn't mean love comes easy for him, because, after all, the best way to find love is to drop all the strategies and just be real.

See what lessons you can still learn from your favorite lovey-dovey films here.
