FHM's 100 Sexiest Women Party highlights

Jul 23, 2008 by FN's Trixie Reyna

There are a lot of reasons FHM’s 100 Sexiest Women in the World Victory Party is one of the year’s hottest events, not just for men but for women as well.

If you are wondering why a woman could possibly want to attend a party that is obviously for the men (apart from closely watching their husbands and boyfriends as they ogle this year’s sexiest women in the Philippines who strutted down the catwalk), a quick glance at some of the party’s highlights would make you understand why men and women alike clamored for tickets to the event held last July 17 at the World Trade Center in Pasay.

The night promised to be fun-filled, intriguing, and definitely sizzling, as over 2,000 attendees (consisting predominantly of men, of course, but also mixed with a good number of women) promptly lined up and trooped to the venue. Both the VIP and Non-VIP areas were quickly filled up with people eager to see whom among this year’s 100 Sexiest Women they would get to see in the flesh.

This year’s Sexiest Woman in the World, Marian Rivera, whom the gang war/underground-themed event dubbed the Mob Princess and the notorious No. 1 spot-holder, led the pack of sexy female celebrities who graced the catwalk this year—the FHM 100 Sexiest party which has the most number of featured women making an appearance onstage. Conspicuously enough, controversial No. 4 spot-holder Angel Locsin (a former Sexiest Woman in the World title holder) was a no-show.

However, two-time 100 Sexiest topnotcher Katrina Halili was very gracious about sliding down to No. 3 this year and still graced the event. Marimar and Angelica, the characters played by Marian and Katrina respectively in the top-rating drama series Marimar, made news once again, as this is the first time the former No.1 and the current Sexiest Woman ever shared the stage since FHM first started holding this annual bombshell-fest, according to host Asia Agcaoili (who was a scene-stealer herself in her barely-there outfits, especially the stockings-like lingerie she strutted down the catwalk with).

The event opened with a performance from Sandwich that got the crowd pumped up. Some notable members of the audience that night included politicians (we won’t name names!), and hot male models and reality-show hunks Will Devaughn and Bruce Quebral, who was there to give his unwavering support to lady-love Wendy Valdez, who is at No. 52.

Check out the photos below to see some of the celebrities who graced the FHM 100 Sexiest catwalk this year.
