Daughtry is coming to Manila!

Jun 2, 2008 by FN's Shar Bareng

daughtry_manila.jpgThere were Jasmine Trias, Camille Velasco, Constantine Maroulis, Elliot Yamin, Taylor Hicks, and now, finally, rocker Chris Daughtry joins the list of past Idol contestants to step on to Philippine shores as he and his band are slated to perform in Eastwood City in July. Daughtry fans, rejoice!

Right after his stint in the fifth season of American Idol, Chris quickly signed with 19 Entertainment and RCA Records, and formed his band, named after his last name. Their first album, Daughtry, landed in the top 5 of the Billboard Top 200, and was nominated for four Grammy Awards in 2007. Daughtry is also the first rock band release in nearly 20 years, since Bon Jovi's 1988 classic "New Jersey," to hit the top spot after debuting below #1. "Home," Chris Daughtry's first single off Idol, also won the People's Choice Award for Favorite Rock Song in 2008, and was used as the exit song for the sixth season of American Idol.

Now, Daughtry will finally take the stage for their Filipino fans on July 29 in Eastwood City. The live show will be a limited seating one-night concert, so better buy your tickets while it's still early!

For tickets to Daughtry Live in Eastwood City, call Eastwood City Customer Information Center at 687 1499, 687 6770-74, 0917 8EWCITY or Ticketnet at 911 5555 or visit www.ticketnet.com.ph and www.eastwoodcity.com.
