All is not lost for Ramiele Malubay

Apr 16, 2008 by FN's Shar Bareng

ai08_ramiele.jpgFans of Ramiele Malubay can stop worrying in the meantime, because it seems our Fil-Am idol is not ready to call it quits after getting voted off American Idol. For one, she's still included in the AI Summer tour as part of the Top 10, and the Inquirer has confirmed that Ramiele will be appearing in US shows such as Live with Regis and Kelly, Ellen, and The Morning Show with Mike and Juliet.

Even Ellen DeGeneres loves our cute Idol! Check out Ramiele singing "You Don't Have to Say You Love Me"--arguably her best performance in AI--for Ellen last week.

Her fans have also been rallying for her to be taken back to the contest when the official AI website put up a poll asking fans about whom to give a second chance at the show. Before the website switched to a new poll concerning the most shocking AI eliminations, the results had Ramiele occupying the top two spot behind Danny Noriega.

But if she won't make it back, we're hoping she'll visit the Philippines anyhow. In an interview with USA Today, Ramiele has confirmed that she'd love to go back, "simply because it was home." For now, we can look forward to TV appearances, since Ramiele herself has said that she'll try to pursue acting while she's in LA--otherwise, she reportedly said she'll go back to school and study nursing.
