I see flashes of lights and di makakita yung isang mata ko. Tapos nasusuka ako, and in time na nawala na yung lights na nakikita ko, ayun nagvo-vomit na talaga ako. Ayoko makaamoy ng kahit ano fragrance! tapos suka ako ng suka. Usually I take 2 250mg of Dolfenal when I experience the aura pa para di gaanong masakit ang ulo ko after the aura. Tapos tinutulog ko.

Pag namamigraine ako, most probably, the whole day akong lupaypay :(

^ganon kasi yung body mechanism natin. Kasi if we feel pain, nati-trigger yung "vomitting center" ng brain natin which causes vomiting, after nagvomit na tayo, nagdedecline slightly yung headache.:)

I would rather choose dysmenorrhea than migraine! ;D

ako din hirap na hirap sa migraine, tapos lately, nadevelop na rin [textspeak!] neck pains. I did some researching and I have 2 options at the moment. To consult with a TMJ specialist or a chiropractor. What do you think 'yung dapat ko unahin? dentist or chiro?

Sobra talaga pagsuffer ko when I experience this. Nasasayang yung araw ko 'coz I sleep the whole day because of the pain.

Pero gatorade talaga ang first line of defense ko kasi most of the time, nawawala naman siya. By the way share ko lang sa inyo itong message na na-forward sa akin.

PANADOL (PARACETAMOL)

My  husband was working in a hospital as an IT engineer, as the hospital is  planning to set up a database of its patient.  And he knows some of  the doctor quite well.  The doctors used to tell him that whenever  they have a   headache, they are not willing to take PANADOL PARACETAMOL.

In fact, they  will turn Herbal Medicine or find other  alternatives. This  is  because Panadol is toxic to the body, and it harms the liver. According to  the doctor, Panadol will reside in the body for at least 5 years.

And   according to  the doctor , there used to be an incident where an air stewardess consumes  a lot of Panadol during her menstrual as she needs to stand all the time.   She's now in her early 30's, and she needs to wash her kidney  (DIALYSIS) every month.

As said by the  doctor that whenever we have a headache,  that's because   it is due to  the electron / Ion imbalance in the brain.

As an alternative solution to  cope with this matter, they suggested that

we buy 1 or 2  cans of isotonic drink ( eg.100PLUS, Gatorade), and mix it with drinking water  according to a ratio of 1:1 or 1:2 (simply, it means one cup   100plus, one  cup water or 2 cups water). My husband and I have tried this on several  occasions, and it seems to work well.

Another method  will be to submerge your feet in a basin of warm water  so that it  brings the blood pressure down from your throbbing head.

As  Panadol is a pain killer, the more Panadol you take, the lesser would be  your threshold for pain (your endurance level for pain).  We all will  fall ill as we age, for woman, we would need to go through childbirth.

Imagine that we  had spent our entire life popping quite a substantial amount of Panadol  (Pain Killer)  when you need to have a surgery or operation, you   will need a  much more amount of general.

If you have a very high intake of Panadol  throughout your life (Migraine, Menstrual cramps ) it is very likely that  normal general anesthetic will have no effects on you  as your body  is Pumped full with Panadol and your body is so used  to pain killer  that you would need a much stronger pain killer,  Morphine????

The thought is  scary enough to turn me to Herbal Medicine or other healthier alternative.   Value your he alth, value your life, THINK TWICE before  you easily pop that familiar pill into your mouth again.

Please  don't always take PANADOL and try send this to people you care about.

“Be content with what you have; rejoice in the way things are.
When you realize there is nothing lacking, the whole world belongs to you.”

ako sis pgdi ko agad naagapan ng biogesic before pa lang na nafefeel ko na... yari na.. pinipilit ko talaga isuka lahat til mapait na or else it will last for days talaga.. then ngtake ako ng coffee and magpapawis plus ice pack sa side na masakit.. as in nakakawala talaga then i will take biogesic kasi me paantok factor kaya narerelax ako plus pahid ng white flower.. after nun tulog talaga ko. natatakot kasi ako ma immune sa matitinding gamot baka liver ko naman madelikado.

sis parehong-pareho tayo as in... ano usually nagiging cause ng migraine mo? ako kasi pansin ko kapag puyat at saka kapag masyadong nainitan like maghapon nasa labas. and true, medyo mararamdaman ko pa lang na susumpong na siya eh mega inom na ako ng biogesic din. plus tulog. pero one time pagkagising ko masakit pa rin ulo ko.. minsan nga mega natatakot ako eh..

Pahirap talaga ang migraine. And it lasts for more than 24 hours. Ma-try nga yung gatorade. Hopefully magwork sakin. Paracetamol and ibuprofen doesn't work for me na kasi. Usually, mefenamic acid like Ponstan or Excedrin migraine lang ang effective sakin.

i bought a ginger-peppermint balm from Giga (Tiendesitas) this evening.  i tried to apply a bit on my nape(sabi nung attendant), nagpawis ako agad then i massaged my right head with a very small amount of it. it seemed to work in a flash. as much as possible ayoko mag take ng meds, puro alternatives muna. I can't take mef. acid and ibuprofen, it irritates my tummy.. try nyo to.. it's very relaxing.. para sa mga 24/7 sa pc, stressed, etc. just like me..
Whatever you are, be a good one.

in my case - hindi pa ako nagpacheck up pero base sa mga nababasa ko about migraine eh i suspected na migraine nga ako. kapag sobrang init lalo na galing sa labas, kapag puyat. grabe ang sakit parang numb sa sakit ang feeling. tapos halos ayaw ko gumalaw or magsalita or kumurap man lang dahil parang pumipitik yung ugat sa ulo ko. kailangan ko madilim at naglalaway ako na kailangan ko sumuka. kailangan kong magrelax or itulog. pero in my case, nakukuha nman siya sa simpleng biogesic lang. kaya kapag alam kong susumpungin ang migraine inom na ako agad. kumabaga uunahan ko na siya.. ang hirap promise!! parang tigil ang ikot ng mundo mo kapag umaatake na... ayoko ng maingay, ayoko ng magulo, ayoko ng madumi, ayoko n mabaho!!! ay mali - mangay at magulo lang pala.... pang-movie na ang dating!!! hehe

mga nagt-trigger sakin is yung before menstruation, siguro dahil nagkakagulo na ang hormones ko..  :o ;D puyat, gutom at sobrang chocolates.

kwento ko lang:
HS palang ako, may migraine na.. my first and last (so far) hospital confinement dahil lang sa sakit ng ulo. nagsuka ako, to the point na n-dehydrate na pala ako kasi kahit tubig tino-throw up ko na, sobrang sakit talaga. hay grabe..

wala akong iniinom na gamot (di kasi ako naniniwala sa meds e, ewan ko ba, pero pag grabe na, o choice but to take!).. basta tinutulog ko lang, pahid pahid ng kung [textspeak!] ano balm ek ek..

ako naman 14 years na ko may migraine. i can still remember my very first migraine attack, i was 10 years old - grade 4 back then and it happened in my math class. my visions started to blur, shempre super panic ako nun tapos i vomited pa inside the classroom. from them on, i've been experiencing migraine attacks with aura every now and then.

grabe talaga pag inaatake, the pain is really unbearable. i came din to a point na inuuntog ko na yung ulo ko sa pader sa sobrang sakit. wala talagang nagwowork na medicines. one side of my body especially my face is numb na, one eye can't see na (this happens before the actual headache).  everytime i vomit, nagkaka-cramps ako sa stomach. tapos there are times pa na may migraine ako for 2-3 consecutive days. there are times that some veins in my head would bulge kaya never talaga ako nagpapahilot ng ulo ko because it might explode.

through the years, nadidiscover ko kung ano-ano yung mga nagiging cause ng migraine ko like chocolates, processed food (tocino, longganisa, etc..), canned goods, coffee, lemon or other citrus fruits, coffee, etc. the list goes on and on... i came to a point na sa sobrang dalas na ng migraine attacks ko even without any reason, ginoogle ko lahat ng bawal tapos lahat yun di ko talaga kinain or ginawa for a year. hence, i tremendously lost a lot of weight from 115lbs to 90lbs. nagpa-EEG pa ko to check my brain waves pero normal naman.

last year, i came back to my original weight na 110lbs and i eat na lahat ng bawal hehe. hindi naman ako inaatake. but i notice that for the past 6 months para napapadalas na naman ang attacks ko. i'm kinda worried and i'm planning to go to my neurologist to request for an MRI scan.

nabasa ko sa ibang posts that gatorade works. i will definitely try that. sorry sa mahabang post mga sis. laki lang talaga ng sama ng loob ko sa migraine na yan. hehe.
