For kids or pang munchies:

Shrimp and cheese lumpia

Shrimp (wala ng ulo at shell)
Cheddar cheese (cut into the size of shrimp)
Lumpia wrapper
Pepper
Eggs

1) Sprinkle pepper on shrimp
2) Place shrimp and cheese on lumpia wrapper
3) Seal with beaten egg
4) Deep fry until golden brown
5) Serve with lumpia sauce

Mayo, ketchup and flour will do. Or [textspeak!] lumpia sauce na sweet chili sauce. :) Sarap yan sis, dali pang lutuin :)

hello sis, i love to cook for my husband, and mahilig rin ako sa mga budget recipes... ano bang favorite ni mister?

anyways sis, here's an easy to do recipe, mura pa :)

misua with patola

4 cloves garlic, crushed
1  medium onion, sliced
1/4 kg ground pork (less than 50 pesos)
1 can (140g) Tomato Sauce (less than 30 pesos)
1  small (350g) patola, sliced 1/4” thick crosswise
50 grams misua
2 cups sili leaves

  - Saute garlic, onion and ground pork. Cook for 5 minutes. Add 3 cups water, Tomato Sauce, 3 tbsp patis and 1/4 tsp pepper. Cook for 5 minutes.

2   ADD patola. Cook for another 5 minutes. Add misua. Simmer for 2 minutes. Turn off heat then add sili leaves.

hope you enjoy this meal!!! :)

when im on a budget, i always cook the usual guisado veggies... pwedeng ampalaya, upo, cabbage, etc...

cabbage with giniling... what i usually do is grate the cabbage, parang coleslaw yung slice... boil giniling, set aside broth...saute garlic, onions and a little ginger... add giniling... type ko medyo crispy yung giniling... the mix the cabbage... add broth... salt and pepper to taste...
BE CAREFUL OF WHAT YOU SAY... IT REVEALS HOW MUCH YOU KNOW...

mga sis, if you love to eat/ dine out, tignan nyo mabuti ang mga ingredients ng mga food that you order... like if you love italian foods, look closely how your food is cooked, it is mostly described sa mga food menus...

here's another way to cook tilapia:

Tilapia in Lemon Sauce with Capers

2 Tablespoons oil
Flour for coating (or any kind of breading if you want)
4 Tilapia fillets
1/4 cup diced onions
1/2 cup butter (unsalted if you have it)
1 1/2 Tablespoons capers
1/2 cup white wine (optional)
1/2 cup lemon or calamansi juice
salt and pepper
1/2 bunch parsely, finely chopped

- heat oil in a large pan over high heat, or you can cook it in two batches... lightly flour tilapia fillets and fry until golden brown, 3-4 minutes...

- add onions, cook until onions are translucent; add butter, capers, wine, lemon juice, and salt and pepper to taste..

- reduce heat to medium and simmer for about 5 minutes. when the sauce has silky consistency, add parsley...

- serve with rice or baked potatoes... makes 4 servings....

enjoy!!!

make your own "jolibee burger steak" at home  ;D

Hamburger Steak with Gravy

1 pack Monterey Beef Burgers

2 tbsps butter

1/4 cup all-purpose flour

1 pc beef bouillon cube, dissolved in 2 cups water ---> for the beef stock

2 tsp soy sauce

1/2 tsp ground black pepper

1/2 cup sliced mushroom (optional)

1. Melt butter in a saucepan. Add flour and mix to form a thick paste. While stirring, slowly add beef stock.

2. Cook until slightly thick while stirring continuously. Season with soy sauce and pepper. Add mushrooms if desired. Mix well and set aside.

3. Meanwhile, pan-fry beef burgers. Pour sauce on top or on the side of the beef burgers. Serve with plain rice and veggies.

***great for pambaon too  ;)

for merienda i do this on some weekends  :D it's your own version of waffle dog  :)

Floppy Dog Ears

5 pcs regular or jumbo hotdogs (whatever you prefer)

Cooking oil for pan-frying

1 (250 g) pack pancake mix (store bought)

1/4 cup butter

1/2 cup cheese, grated

- pan-fry hotdogs in oil. Set aside.

- prepare pancake mix according to package directions. Set aside.

- preheat a crepe/frying pan. Melt a teaspoon of butter. Pour about 1/3 c of pancake batter on the pan.

- when bubbles appear on the surface, sprinkle some grated cheese on top.

- place a piece of hotdog in the middle of the pancake.

- carefully roll the pancake to secure hotdog in the middle. Continue to cook over low heat until pancake has set. Serve warm with pancake syrup or ketchup.
