EastWest Credit card
« on: April 17, 2013, 12:24:50 PM »

An agent called me way back 2011 pa & asked if I was interested for an EastWest Credit Card. Pumayag ako hoping for my 2nd credit card (an alternate to my BPI Gold Mastercard). Few days after, I received a call from EastWest Bank for background check. Then wala na akong nakuha na update.

This year, I got a mail from EastWest then pagbukas ko ng envelope, credit card ang laman! It became my 3rd credit card.  (I applied for a Metrobank credit card last year, mas mabilis na-process & na-approve kaagad). Yes, my nakuha din ako na PIN for their cash advance and a fat cheque (insta-cash facility).

Madali ba mag-apply sa Eastwest ng CC? I mean, requirements wise?

Most banks require that you have an existing CC before they can issue you one. Sa eastwest, mdali lang din naman. I have a visa card with them.

Pero may mga agents na magpaprocess ng application mo if you don't have an existing CC. Pero you need to provide them with ITR or payslip. Your salary should be attractive para maconsider ng CC companies, plus points un kumbaga..

I did try to check Eastwest's website pasok naman sa banga nag salary ko per annum. My only worry is the fact that I'm working for a BPO company and I understand mahirap ma-approve pag sa call center ka. Do you think agents may magagawa sa ganon or wala?

Pinadalhan kami ng CC ng eastwest bank kahit d kami nag-apply. Gets ko pa yun sa HSBC last year kasi may savings acct ako sa kanila pero itong EW wala pa ako naging transaction sa kanila.

Nakakabahala lang paano nila nakuha info namin (syempre pa may nagbenta d ko lang alam anong kompanya) pati address namin alam :(

Hi Sissies! Ask ko lang, does anybody here have encountered na may agent from East west na nagpunta sa office and just asked kung ano yung position mo? Para saan kaya yun? I applied for a credit card siguro mga 6 months ago pa, kaya kung ngayon lang sila nagback ground check, parang sobrang late naman yata. Thanks in advance sa magrerespond :)

I have no problems when using my EastWest CC Visa for my purchases. Ang napansin ko, most stores do not accept EastWest CC kapag "via installment" ang mode of payment, straight payment lang.

Sa Cash advance up to 50% of your CL ang pwede.

I even requested for waive of finance charge and half of it was approved. Other banks wont allow that. I reasoned out na first time ko lang naman di makabayad ng buo namiss ko lang talaga yung exact amount.

They are offering me new card kase may promo daw na timex. Parang gusto ko naman kuhain rin.

Overall, okay for me ang services nila compared to other banks. Pag may promo iniinform nila ko.
