Breast massage in preparation for breastfeeding

Hi have you guys heard of having a breast massage in preparation for breastfeeding? Sabi nila it helps daw in unclogging ducts so the milk can flow easily, meron ng bang nakapag try nito and is it effective?
Not sure of there's a similar thread, pa merge nalang if there is.

I'd like to know more about this since konti lang breastmilk ko dun sa first pregnancies ko. Ill research.

Mga mommies, effective ang breast massage and hot compress sa breast before breastfeeding. I once attended a seminar sponsored by chicco, si Nanay Nona ang isa sa mga speaker and also a lactation consultant, she taught us how to massage breasts. You can search her sa internet...yung hot compress naman, i can really vouch for that, dahil yun ang ginagamit ko before BF, and effective naman.

Yung medela breastpump di ba may massage din yun?

Pwede kaya na gamiin yun para mastimulate lang pero magdirect breastfeed pa rin?

^yup, hot compress na rubber. Yung nabibili lang sa mercury. Wrapped in towel para hindi masyado malakas at mag absorb yung amoy ng rubber sa iyo.

Sis akiteklea- yung massage ba should be done after birth? Or pwede pag malapit na manganak?

Yung massage na ginawa ko nagstart lang nung umuwi kami ni baby dito sa house, before breastfeeding baby. Prior to that, nung binisita ako ni ob, ni massage niya rin breasts ko para mastimulate milk, kasi super konti milk ko when i gave birth to my baby. pero ngayon, mas madalas kong gingawa ang hot compress rather than massage.

nabasa ko nga rin avoid nipple stimulation lalo na pag nasa third trimester.  What i do naman, kasi nasa 3rd tri na ako, minamassage ko nalang yung palibot ng breast area and inaavoid ko yung areola and nipple..
