ako kasi, if i have a choice, i won't go for rooming in. based on my experience with my 1st born, i gave birth at 5:30am, 3PM, na-room in na baby ko and nag-aalaga na ko. thing was, no one was there to help my husband and me and new parents pa kami. tapos di na namin alam gagawin namin pag-umiyak baby. sobrang naawa ako sa sarili ko nun kasi kakapanganak ko lang that morning and i just went thru a 15-hr labor kaya super pagod, hahaha! kaya yung 2nd ko, di ko na pina-room in. we just went to the breastfeeding room when it's time to breastfeed the baby. alam ko, rooming in is highly encouraged but didn't know yan na pala new policy ng DOH...
re: baby with complications mostly ang nasa nursery ng hospitals where i gave birth (sa medical city and cardinal santos) that wasn't the case naman. healthy naman mga babies na nasa nursery...
