during my late teens pro death penalty ako then nung final year ko sa college yung theology professor ko medyo na-shake niya ang belief ko and until now hindi pa din ako sure
kasi parang are we (the justice system) have the right to take away someone else's right to live
when someone commits grave crimes does it mean na invalidate na din yung right nila to live
another is medyo flawed ang system hindi 100% ang assurance ng accuracy ng verdict
plus at eto talaga ang medyo napapaisip ako kasi people can change
as in truly change so paano na yun pag na death penalty sila wala na yung chance na yun, but then again as i said kapag ba nakagawa ng crime parang ang nangyayari automatic tatanggalin na din yung rights nila
so yeah undecided pa din ako
love is just a word..until someone you meet gives it a proper meaning..

I remember last time sa news, there was this guy who murdered 3 women at their house. That, after slitting the throats of 3 women at their own house?!? It's high time they bring back death penalty! Criminals are no longer afraid of breaking the law!

Dapat magkaroon ng Lee Kwan Yew sa Pinas, to get rid of all the corrupt elements in the government!

I am for the death penalty... IF we can be reasonably confident that our justice system is not corrupt.

I share the same views.

ang idea ko dito is, yes we have no right to take someone else life, but here is my idea para magtakot yung mga kriminal

sa mga magnanakaw
putulan nang daliri (like sa ibang country) like 10 or 20 times for them to change (kung 10 times whole finger, kung 20 naman half half lang)

More so yung araw araw pa nilang dinadala yung emotional pain.

^^ I like yung sa killers.

Problema din sa gobyerno natin walang pera/space to provide for these prisoners. Kaya easy way out talaga is to just kill them para wala ka nang problema to feed them pa and provide space. Puede na naman pakawalan yung mga naputulan ng kamay, kasi they have served the penalty, at di nanga makakaulit kasi wala nang kamay para magnakaw.

Yes to death penalty. Pag mabalik to, I wish those who are guilty of the Maguindanao massacre ang pinakaunang masampulan. Nang dahil lang sa election? Cant believe the "desire to serve the people" would lead to a massacre. Hay. On the second thought, mas pabor ata sa kanila ang death penalty. LOL.

Yes to DEATH PENALTY.. Dahil wala ng takot mga kriminal ngayon. Maganda sana kung ma-apply dito sa atin yung sa Middle East, like putol kamay and may certain number of lashes. pero mukhang impossible yun.

lalo pa ngayon, nung nag Aquino administration biglang taas ang crime rate.  >:(

YES, if it meant decline of heinous crimes.  In my observation, criminals become courageous because we don't have strong law enforcement.  We pity those victims of these crimes and we don't like these to happen to any of our family members.  Still, there's a need to understand the pros and cons of death penalty.

dapat kasi ayusin ang justice system sa atin at ang implementation of law. unahin yung mga pushers at drug syndicates. dumadami kasi ang adik sa pilipinas, dumadami din ang mahihirap, hence, the increase of crimes.

pano kasi mismong mga drug lords ang nagiging mayors, congressmen, senators. hay sa totoo lang sobrang depressing ang status ng pinas at death penalty is not really the long-term solution.

dapat sa pinas, death penalty and caning.

kaso sobrang bagal ng justice system dito.

meron pang mga pardon pardon.

the masses will always win. hindi hahayaan ng gobyerno na magmukha sila hindi pro-poor.

kaya i doubt na maiimplement eto with the same efficiency  ng ibang bansa na may

similar capital punishment

Well, if death penalty will not be implemented, I hope the government could do something to improve the justice system.  And please eliminate the drug lords and syndicates...
