Saturdays as working day.....
« on: September 12, 2012, 04:34:30 PM »
na notice ko lang, almost all of the regular private companies 8 to 5 day jobs may pasok ng Saturdays at whole day pa and this is not considered as OT pa... so parang pahinga na lang is Sunday talaga at holiday.....of course with the exception of Operations Department na may shifting talaga....

any inputs on this.....

Working on Saturdays is one of the reasons why I tendered my resignation this afternoon.

For me, nakakapagod and I feel that there is no work-life balance anymore. I tried going out with friends after work but sometimes I no longer enjoy it because I already feel too tired that I just want to go home and sleep. It was hard din for me kasi ever since I worked 6 days a week, hindi na ako makauwi sa province where my parents are staying.

Yung Sunday ko, pagkagising ng tanghali, magsisimba na lang tapos prepare na ulit for work the next day. Having Sunday as the only rest day is not enough for me to recuperate from all the stress and toxicity I endured for 6 days. I really hate dragging myself to work every Monday dahil pakiramdam ko pagod na pagod pa ako.

ayoko rin saturday job :( nakakapagod and wala kang panahon mag-recharge for the coming week. okay lang siguro if occasional lang like may special event, etc. pero yung regular work hours talaga, di ko ata carry. ano ba companies may saturday work? alam ko SM and megaworld meron...

Is it worthy to work on a Saturday? i have an offer today for job few minutes away from home (Alabang), and I am currently working in Makati. The dilemma : nearby job (9 to 6) with Saturdays or Makati job (8.30 to 6.30) with no Saturdays!

This is not new sa company namin, kahit Sundays may pasok. Nakaranas na dina ko magwork ng ilang beses kahit new year. It actually sucks but i love naman my job.

hubby ko may work even on sundays, so the whole week talaga pati holidays, kahit anong klaseng holiday pa yan at ang nakakatuwa pa dyan, whole day pa sila kahit holidays ;D.. although pag weekend, half day lang sya unless maka-receive sya ng emergency call ;D ok lang naman, kumbaga we fully understand na ganito ang line of work nya (namin pala hehe, although sahm kasi ako for more than 2 years na)..di sya pwede mag-complain kasi choice nya to eh

sanayan lang, nung una nakakatamad.. Pero ayos na sa akin, 2 days off pa rin naman, ayoko lang ng 1 lang ang off ko o kaya split off.. Basta I need 2 consecutive days, wala kaming away sa company namin. hehe

Hayss ito ang isa sa dahilan kaya I'm tendering my resignation this coming May! New mother kasi ako and nakukulangan ako sa time that I am spending w/ my baby. Baka kasi mas tawagin pa nyang mommy c yaya niya haha ;D

Same here, 8-5 monday to saturday

You'll get used to it eventually. But still, one day of rest ain't really enough.

I also have Saturday work pero alternate yun so may mga Sabado rin akong walang pasok. But the feeling is still the same yung tipong toxic na parang wala akong pahinga tapos kapag Sunday bigla mong mafifeel na HAYYYYYY pasok na naman bukas. Sabayan mo pa na hindi ko type yung company especially the location na medyo malayo. Unlike before kung sa malapit lang okay lang sa akin kasi andyan lang naman yun. Yung feeling na parang lang akong nagwowork sa bahay
