My IVF was done in Bangkok Hospital.. we are residing in HK. we choose there kasi we're supposed to choose the gender, which later on nagchange kami ng mind kasi it will lessen the success rate daw eh.. saka less stress.. stressful sa HK kasi.. i am now 7weeks 4days.. with healthy baby and strong heartbeat.. 1st try lang to..

How many years ttc? - 6years
Treatment done prior ivf? - clomid for 3cycles per try.. hsg.. iui
Did you had IUI before? - yes, 3 failed iui's
Age? - turning 29 on November
Infertility issues? - PCOS, low morphology but naayos na since he stopped smoking na
Ivf meds: - puregon & i forgot the trigger shot.. duphaston and cyclogest suppositories after embryo transfer
How many gonal F per day/ how many IU per injection?how much? - first 125iu, then naging 200iu then raised to 250 for the last 2days.
Others meds per day? - vitamins kay hubby lang.
Doctors fee? - total cost of ivf including meds, fee, etc.. all in all is 230,000baht
And other expenses.. - plane tickets, visa extension, foods, transpo

we just transferred 1 embryo.. 8-cell and grade a.. i have 5 frozen embryo pa there all are 8c,grade a.. retrireved 11eggs, 7 nagmature pero 6 lang yung naging embryo..

i ate pineapple core few days before egg retrieval and 3days after transfer, gatorade to prevent OHSS, kept myself warm by wearing socks all day and off yung aircon for the first weeks kasi dito nagtatake place yung implantation... 2weeks bed rest lang..

hello, am new here but i've been following this thread since a friend suggested this site...I am 33 years old and married for more than 2 years already, we've been trying to get pregnant since day 1 of our marriage. Ive never been pregnant. I am from the province, actually 30 mins drive fr Baguio City.

I had HSSG (sonogram and XRAY) and both confirmed that both of my fallopian tubes are blocked and the last resort daw is IVF, but before I had the procedure, ive been taking clomid for quite sometime until my OB suggested HSSG. I have consulted 2 other specialist for an opinion, the first one suggested a laparoscopy to check if there are other problems, the second one said that there's no use since the extent of the blockage is from the proximal to distal part of my tubes, kung baga buong tubes ko ang may bara. Ngayon ang problema ko, if I would undergo lap or proceed to IVF right away. Baka po may mga sis [textspeak!] na makapagbibigay ng advices, please enlighten me.

^sis IVF na diretso.. kasi mahal din ang LAP.. pwede na yun pandagdag sa cost ng IVF.. since both of your tubes naman pals eh blocked.. yung anak ng friend ng mom-in-law ko blocked isang tube niya derecho ivf na sinuggest sa kanya.. she now has 2 years old daughter.. alam ko kasi yung lap para dun sa unexplained infertility (negative sa lahat ng tests), since you know the cause naman na, don't waste time and money na.. save it for IVF.. balitaan mo kami sis..

hi sis aby_33 2 years ago, I found out both my tubes were blocked. my doc suggested lap to clear my tubes. unfortunately, due to the severity of the damage, she had to remove both. according to her, it is useless kasi to save even one kasi even if it gets cleared of the hydro (hydrosalpinx), there is a possibility that it will recur & this is toxic to the embryo if in case I get pregnant. my advise to u is to find out first the cause of your blockage & if it is hydrosalpinx, much better to undergo lap.

^^ Agree with Sis GabbyAya sis. If the cause of your blocked tubes is hydrosalphinx, better to undergo laparoscopy first to prevent complication just in case ma pregnant ka (via ivf). Eto din ang sinabi ng OB ko before. But better yet, consult your OB din kasi sila mas nakakaalam kung ano dapat

Hello mga sis, im planning to go to taiwan march 2013 for ivf. Meron ba dyan na nagpplano sa taiwan? After reading the thread from 2-4 ive decided to do it in taiwan. I also saw dr lee's fb and their official website at kumbinsido na ko na dun ako papa ivf. This thread is very very helpful, i realized that im not alone at d na ko depressed.http://

Ive been reading a lot from this site from quite a long time na din and I can say I've learn a lot from everyone here specially sa mga nag share na ng kanilang mga experiences. In view of that gusto ko [textspeak!] sana malaman if anyone from here ang nakapag IVF na sa KATO? Or undergoing preparation ng IVF sa KATO? Hoping that anyone share...

Im having 2nd thoughts where to do ivf, if in taiwan or singapore. Im actually a nurse here in singapore and we just attended ivf seminar under prof pc wong, head of the ob department and infertility specialist in nuh. If i do in taiwan it's cheaper and dr lee is an expert in his field but i need tO stay there for more than a month which means no salary. My husbands needs to accompany me also and its unpaid leave. So im thinking parang same lang kc mwwalan kami ng 2 months salary. Pag dito sa singapore i can still work and take hospitalization leave for 2-3 wks after the ET. Although it's more expensive here from 10k-16k sgd. and prof wong said he is conservative, unlike dr lee which, i read here, is aggressive when it comes to ivf. So anyone here who went thru ivf in NUH singapore?

I've been following ths thread for a week now. Kasi I just started my IVF medication, long protocol ang procedure ko. So Meron akong down regulating spray na Synarel and then I'll inject Gonal-f .

Just wondering mga Sis, Meron ba naging side effects ang Gonal-f sa inyo?

Hello Sis MissA. I suggest mag research ka ng success rate ng IVF clinic mo. And also try to join a group thread there in Singapore who are using this clinic. That's your most reliable source I guess.

I myself is undergoing IVF now. Im doing the IVF in Denmark coz they have the highest rate of success here in Scandinavia. I live in Norway & fortunately I can do my scans & medications here in this country with my own gynecologist & he sends & collaborate the results with my IVF gynecologist in Denmark. I will just then fly to Denmark with hubby for the egg retrieval & transfer. That's only 4 days in Denmark

If you could talk to those taichung doctors if this is possible , cooperating or collaborating with your Singapore OB, then that's the most ideal for you. It won't hurt to give it a shot

^^ sis, you need to rest after the transfer. sa bangkok kame nagpa-ivf and we weren't allowed to travel back to HK after transfer until we know the result. total bedrest ako and im 11weeks now.

^^ you meant Sis 2 weeks kayo sa Bangkok? ano yun bed rest ka Lang talaga for 2 weeks. Yan Lang ang maganda sa Asia feel mo alaga ka talaga.
Here in Europe after embryo transfer stay ka Lang 45mins sa hospital bed after nun I dismiss ka na nila. They will advise you Lang na no hard physical activity within 24 hours after ET. Surprisingly marami pa rin nabubuntis:). Reason Kasi nila the embryo won't fall out. Implantation will occur no matter what or it just won't implant that's it.

wede credit card ang bayad . Balak ko kase if mag fail ang iui ko magpa ivf na. I went to KATO in makati and tumatanggap sila ng credit card. May alam pa ba kayo? Thanks

Hi sisses,

We were supposed to have our first IUI this month, but due to hubby's sperm analysis results (low sperm count and motility), our doctor suggested na derecho IVF na kami. Hubby will meet with his urologist next week and we're just waiting for his go signal.

Pag ganitong case of low sperm count and motility, usually need pa ba muna ng medicines or varicocele surgery before we can proceed with IVF?

Are there other preparations before the procedure aside from taking folic acid?
