may nakapag attend ba sa inyo mga sis sa COL's mid-year market briefing?  how was it kaya?

Actually, I'm waiting for my 30th payout that i can use to invest here. Saka one of the things that I need to look out for pa is that my dog is about to be on heat. I'm going to need budget for her stud fee so i could sell puppies available in xmas eve (I'm expecting good market by then since pasko, 13th month pay out and maraming may pera nun hehe...). ::)

Oh, so ok lang pala kahit more than 5k sa IEP?  :o I might have missed this infor from the site but that's good news! kung hindi ko pa kaya 25k, then I'll start with EIP but with a higher amount.. Probably mga 10k or so if the budget fits...  :-\

Kaya abang-abang na lang muna ko. I'll prepare the requirements for the meantime. ;D

But last question, ::) I remember na kelangan ng Billing Statement, but the Billing statement from my home is not under my name. Pwede po kaya na gumawa na lang ng Authorization Letter to grant me to use that billing statement for the requirements?

Thanks po! :) ;)

Oh I see. So I think what I'll do is open 2 accounts, 1 EIP for long term, and 1 for Trading na pwede for Emergency funds..

IMO isang way lang na you will loss money in stock market that is if you sell at a loss, mas mura yung benta mo kaysa pagbili mo. So yung emergency fund dapat dun lang sa mga safest investment vehicle that at any moment na may emergency available  na sya agad. Hirap na pag kailangan mo yung pera tapos negative portfolio mo mapipilitan ka talagang magbenta :'(. Sa trading wala akong gaanong alam and di pa kaya ng risk tolerance ko ang day trading.

I read somewhere dati na pwede yatang iwave ang billing statement pag personal appearance ka sa office nila (not so sure though). Ask them nalang through email or call ka sa costumer service nila, sobrang helpful.

balak ko ngang magtry to buy mining stocks someday for medium term (1 week to 2 years) di ko talaga kaya yung Day Trading baka di na ako makakatulog. I am eyeing for SCC atleast maganda fundamentals nila. Di muna ako sa masyadong speculative like GEO.

As of mid-year market briefing, may report na yata sila sis, they posted it sa COL site, nabasa ko kanina. I'm not sure if they will post video later, may video kasi sila dati.

^No need for an Authorization letter as long as the bill is under your husband, father or mother`s name :)

Sis, I will not recommend keeping your Emergency Fund in stock market - it's risky. What if you need it ASAP but down ang market, malukugi ka lang. Better have it in normal savings account, time deposit, sda or BPI Maxisaver.

Share ko lang - I added less than 6k Pesos sa COL account ko kanina. This is my 2nd 'less than 6k' COL deposit for this month. ;D

Joining! recently finished backreading..wow super interested ako dito..I'm just waiting na pumasok na yung inaasahan kong pera and magiinvest na talaga ko pero aral aral muna. Medyo mahirap intindihin yung ibang terms. I'm currently studying the Daily Quotation Report I dowloaded from PSE website and hindi ko magets ibig sabihin ng bid, ask, open, high, low and close. All I know is that these are prices of a particular stock pero bakit andami? Ang akala ko its as simple as you buy and sell stock at its market price. So pwedeng magask ng price na gusto mo? Sorry I have no idea. Plan ko pa lang magopen sa COL. Hope someone would answer my question.

Oh Got it. maybe 1-2k per month won't be so bad.

Also I read Bo's E book about investing to stocks. He's also recommending Citiseconline as one of reputable brokers. Has anyone tried this?

^sis, Citiseconline and COL is just the same.  Most of the stock investors here use COL.   :)  completo kasi ang COL, with charting tool and research both for fundamental and technical analysis.

Bid - ito yung price that a buyer is willing to pay.
Ask - price which the seller is willing to sell.

Open - opening price of the stock in a trading day.
High - highest price of the stock within that trading day.
Low - lowest price of the stock within that trading day.
Close - closing price.

Kung walang seller na willing to sell at that price, pipila muna ang buy order mo until it finds a price match.   :)

Hi sis, pareho lang ang Citisec and COL..nagpalit lang ng pangalan ang Citisec (I think may kinalaman sa napapagkamalan na under sila ng Citibank, not so sure though) Ako nagla-login sa Citisec if gusto ko magopen ng maraming tabs, sa COL kasi di pwede magopen ng another tab e hehe. Saka sa COL mapapansin mo mas mababa ang kinita ng pera mo kesa pag naglog ka sa Citisec, sabi nila kasi computed na yung mga charges na ibabawas if ever i-pull out mo pera mo (?)   :D

sis if this amount would be your emergency fund may guidelines tungkol jan and you need to build it first before mag-invest. Sabi nila EF should be 6 months worth of salary, some says 3 months is enough, (dependi nayan sayo). You need this daw kasi if ever mawalan ka ng trabaho bigla-bigla atleast you have money to support yourself while looking for a new job.

If this amount naman is for your EIP, any amount is good after the initial 5K. Siguro ipunin mo muna to a certain level para mabili mo yung gusto mo na stocks. Remember you can buy stocks anytime, daily, weekly, quarterly or annually nasa iyo na yun. Yung mga traders nga minutes bumibili at nagbibinta.

Ahh oo nga sis, yung It's fun investing in the Phils.   Worth reading din ang mga reports nila.

I like the quote stated in one of the reports.

Action without Thinking"

Tama ba ako based on what I read about COL

Other traders would sell & buy and others has the option to buy ones selling/buying price, as long as agreed SA price then go.

Does it work parang eBay? Someone's bids and buys, the highest bidder wins.

To those nag start na SA col, for ph5,000 how much did you earned in a months time?

I'll be preparing my docs later. I have my savings account ready for any emergency expenses na dumating. ::) I'm just planning to add more since mag-iinvest na ko dito. :)

Best of luck to me! :) See you at the stock market!   ;D

Parang ganun na nga sis and nakapila na yung mga prices and volume ng nagbibids and nag-aask.

Portfolio namin today gains 21.91%, if we started with 5K, followed EIP and religiously bought 5k worth of stocks after after 22 months (we started Sept. 2010) our 110,000 (22 months x 5k) gained 24,101 plus dividend pa, so far lahat ng nabili namin na stocks nagbibigay naman ng dividend (total of 4k+ in our case).

Meron rin times na nag-nega portfolio namin and the last time is nung September 2011 in which we have a loss of 600 peso. All of this are paper gains/loss kasi di pa namin nasubukang magbenta and will not be selling any time soon. Siguro pag 65 y/o na kami then we will start selling.

Oo sis pero ang rule is: Buy low and sell high. Pwede rin: Buy high and sell higher.

You can also sign up for their 7-day trial, that way makikita nyo ang ins and outs ng COL. You can also try the game from PSE :)

@mameejhy

that's why I only buy the stocks that I like and I know (maybe... ;D). I will not buy AGI also but may I know about your stand in DMC? Planning to expand our portfolio kasi and one of the few choices is DMC though overpriced sya ngayon baka kako kasi mura na sya in the future add ko sana sya sa port namin.
