is 1 pack of maternity napkin enough? i bought 1 pack of maternity napkins and then 1 big pack of an overnight napkin i hope those are enough

to be safe for the first few days, have atleast a pack of napkins for each day. depende din kasi how strong yung bleeding is and also syempre palit ng palit din esp after every punta sa cr. ako I just bought 1 pack of maternity napkin kasi i preferred to use na the overnight napkins since its thinner and may wings sya

Tsaka mga sis old undies gamitin nyo para in case mag ka stain tapon nyo na lang :) dito sa hospital sa US free ang disposable undies and napkin. Pero may dala din akong sakin. I prefer using overnight pads yung makapal the whole day kase di ako tinatagusan. Kase on top of pads mag tucks pa na nakalagay at ointment kaya messy talaga. So every wee wee palit ng palit :)

Sa baby checklist naman may take home pa kong diaper from the hospital pati milk at clothes from them... :) kaya pauwing damit lang binaon ko..

^^ That's true kaya it's better if you can bring your own maternity napkin and underpads to lessen the charges to your hospital bill.

Kaya better bring your own stuff talaga.

^^buti pa sa US, lahat libre! Inggit naman!  :)

Cs ako when I gave birth kaya Hindi room-in Si baby.

Additional info na Lang po:

Receiving blanket, - provided na yan ng hospital during the baby's stay at the nursery. I only used one receiving blanket nung na discharge na kami.
Baby clothes-don't bring too much if sa nursery magstay Si baby.
Diaper-lahat ng nagamit na diapers ni baby charged sa bill. Ask the nurse if you can just provide your baby diaper.
Binder-CS ako so kasama na to sa bill. Idk if you can bring you own.
Maternity pads-I brought my own. You need at least 3 packs
Underpads
Betadine fem wash
Pajamas
Electric kettle-useful for making coffee, Cup noodles, etc.
Joy-washing your own utensils
Extra blankets and pillow
Fold-a-mattress-if not comfy yung "bed" for your companion
plastic bag-for your soiled clothing
Food and water for you and companion
Going home clothes for mom dad baby
Towel, Face towel-meron na yung admission kit but being in case wala pala.
small basin
Cash, ATM cards, credit cards, Philhealth, IDs
Reading materials - nakakabagot sa labor room kahit may tv

For breastfeeding moms:

Nursing bra, breastpump, bottles

For CS patients:
Betadine wound antiseptic
Cotton balls
Bactroban
Gauze for wound dressing
Micropore tape

based on my experience at TMC, here are essential stuff that was very useful during our 3 days/2 nights stay which i brought on my own.  Room-in din si baby and delivered via NSD.

Mommy stuff:
- disposable undies (cotton ones from Watsons, this was very useful for me).
- modess maternity pads (no idea where to buy this and this was the only brand available at Watsons)
- toiletry kit (yes, i took a warm bath the next day when the nurse told me I can take a bath anytime as soon as the IV line and the epidural catheter was removed from me)
- going home clothes and make-up kit

*underpads was provided by the hospital, i guess this was charged to my bill
*bedding was comfortable enough and i only used the hospital gown the whole time but my hubby brought my favorite pillow just in case

Baby stuff:
- 4 receiving blankets
- 4 set of clothes
- lampin, burp pads, wash cloth
- lactacyd (since my mustela stuff has yet to arrive)
- 1 pack of diaper

*there is a baby kit provided by TMC which includes a lot of stuff including diaper, lactacyd, johnsons baby bath, ointment, cups, small basin, alcohol, cotton balls, etc..

once your baby is roomed in, all of the clothes needed will be provided by you so nagamit ko lahat nung set of clothes.  he was also given a bath everyday we were at the hospital.  i used the receiving blanket as bath towel since i didn't have one.  mittens and bonnets are also important since air-conditioned ang room.

^sis they clean the same way. It's just a matter of buyers preference. I like isopropyl better than ethyl. I don't like ethyl alcohol's smell.

Sis m_lim, TMC provided 70% isopropyl alcohol in the baby kit para pang Linis ng pusod ni baby at para mag dry agad. Sa first weekly check up ni baby, his pedia also specified 70% isopropyl alcohol -- so I guess I would go with isopropyl if I were u :)
