Maternity and Baby Checklist

Hi sisses!

I'm trying to put up a complete checklist of all the things that need to be accomplished/ on hand in preparation for the coming of our little ones. Aside from the detailed baby stuff shopping list, here's what I came up with so far:

1. Filing of Maternity Notification, like that of SSS
2. Hubby to file paternity leave with employer
3. Philhealth documents
4. HMO documents (if applicable)
5. Baby stuff list (clothes, diapers, milk, gears, etc.)
6. Hospital bag list (clothes for mom and baby, toiletries, etc.)

Your inputs are very much appreciated.

^hi sis! I could give birth anytime now.

My OB advised me to prepare the following baby stuff:
1. clothes
2. milk (smallest)
3. 2-3 4oz feeding bottles, sterilized and should be kept in a zipper bag (in case my milk won't come as expected)
4. baby wipes (while the baby is with me in the hospital)

I think those are the things I remember and I have already prepared

when I gave birth last March, I only brought the following to the hospital:
-papers (for Philhealth)
-clothes and toiletries (don't forget to bring adult diapers)
-set of clothes for baby's checkout (don't forget the receiving blanket)
-money
-camera
-cellphone
-chargers

since I chose that my baby stay in the nursery, hindi na ako nagdala ng milk, bottles, etc. for me kasi, mas safe si baby sa nursery kesa room-in.

I think this should be included
1. pen - oo madalas wala sila nito
2. Paper with your baby's info - ako what I did is print a copy of a birth certificate and fill up the details, kasi ayaw kong magkamali ng spelling ng name ng anak ko
3. Camera- make sure din na na-charge ang batteries
4. baby book- kung meron ka

^yes sis, buy some overnight napkins too...

dont forgot to bring socks and pajama in the hospital kase maginaw dun diba, also your own pillow kase isa kang pillow don. your toothbrush, facial wash, moisturizer and lip gloss!

sisses do you have a birth plan? I read kasi in some articles and books na dapat daw may birth plan where stated yung mga requests nyo like if you want to your hubby to cut the umbilical cord, or if you want to room-in with baby, etc.

prettygurl, dapat talaga may borth plan. sinabi ko kay OB na gusto ko si hubby mag cut ng umbilical. sabi niya remind her daw on the day.

so plano ko magpprint ako ng list ng gusto ko. para ibibigay nalang sa hospital pagka admit.

Aside from the birth plan, I also had a paper that lists my medical history. Details like:

- LMP
- family medical history (mine & the hubby's)
- hospitalization/s
- allergies, etc.
- previous pregnancy/ies
- first period
- lifestyle (smoker, drinker)
- medicines taken during pregnancy

Believe me, once you are in labor, you can't think straight anymore tapos ang daming taong magtatanong sayo then paulit-ulit Lang naman. So whenever someone would approach me to interview me, I hand them the paper and tell them "if its not there, just ask me"

And like heartbreaker_Rae, I had a  printed out paper with my baby's details for the birth certificate. For my eldest kasi nagkamali yung date of marriage namin and it was such a pain fixing it. Learned our lesson so for baby #2 & 3 we had one ready. I suggest follow the format in the NSO birth certificate. may mga details kasi like birth order, total number of children born alive, # of children dead, etc. para sure no mistakes
