O, why not post it here in the first place?  8)

In response to you:

"I’m fat as well but I wouldn’t mind if they ask me to undress to prove that I got nothing but nice underwear. And of course just as long as the Officer with me is a lady. When we are in a foreign country, the least we could do is to follow their laws and the authorities and there’s NOTHING you can do about it. Chewing gum in Singapore is strictly prohibited; Alcohol in Qatar is not allowed (you need a permit); and of course smuggling of drugs in China is a no-no."

What nice underwear are you talking about? Mind you, lahat pinatanggal kay Dyani, kaya nga na-shocked eh, OA ba yun?  Also, first and foremost I don't like chewing gums, I don't drink much and I don't do drugs. How's that related to taking off your clothes to someone you don't know? I know there are rules and it's easy not chew gums, it's okay to miss my occasional drinks and for someone clean like me it's even easier not to carry prohibited drugs  BUT IT'S NOT EASY FOR ME TO TAKE OFF MY CLOTHES JUST BECAUSE SOMEONE SAID SO, and it's not up to you to save my ass so please save your breath. IF YOU'RE OKAY WITH BEING COMPLETELY NAKED, E DI IKAW NA LANG, WHY ENCOURAGE US TO FOLLOW SUCH RULE?! KUNG RULE DIN NILA ANG TUMALON KA SA BANGIN, TATALON KA NG WALANG KAPALAG-PALAG? O diba ang non sense din ng comparison ko, ganyan lang din yung comparison mo, nonsense.

"When you travel, remember that a foreign country is not designed to make you comfortable. It is designed to make its own people comfortable. –Clifton Fadiman"

I admire these people, baka kilala mo rin si Australian Prime Minister Gillard : 'IMMIGRANTS, NOT AUSTRALIANS, MUST ADAPT.  Take It Or Leave It.  I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture.  Since the terrorist attacks on Bali, we have experienced a surge  in patriotism by the majority of Australians.'
'This culture has been developed over two  centuries of struggles, trials and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom'
'We speak mainly ENGLISH, not Spanish, Lebanese, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of  our society.  Learn the language!'

...but what these two girls experienced has nothing to do with what these known people were trying to imply. ----- SO WHAT? MAY SINABI BA SI CLIFFORD AT SI GILLARD NA PAHUBARIN LAHAT NG TURISTA BAKA LAHAT YAN MAY DRUGS Or MGA TERORISTA, DUH?!

How sad that you’re even proud of what your husband did. It’s the immigration officers’ job to be mindful of suspicious characters hence, their ‘sungit’ /poker face.
I suggest that you watch Border Security on You Tube and be enlightened.

Sa tanda kong to, I know if someone is just doing his job or if he's just being snooty and disrespectful to me, I don't need to equip my self on some border security thing just to console myself if I'm being disrespected or not. And just because you've seen that link from you tube, it makes you feel above everyone else. So OA of you to be sad, why affected ka ba?

You know that we Filipinos are the only fluent English speakers in Asia, and maybe India too so why poke fun at their English? Japanese are bad in English as well but they run their country well. As well as the French, Italians and Koreans because English is not widely used in their respective countries. If you want to go someplace else where speaking in English is not a problem, you might just have to go to the UK, US or Australia.

OMG, were you actually making my trip lists for me? Thanks but nah, I have my own mind... and fate to deal with. Oh and please, I hate excuses such as their English are KNOWN to be bad, YUN NA NGA, they already knew that their English are bad why not do something about it besides they work in an environment where English speaking peeps are common.

Again, they don’t speak good English so a simple gesture like that should be easy to follow. Go to Dubai, they don’t just take your picture and inspect your stuff, they even scan your iris. Go to London and they would ransack your luggage and they won’t even care if your undergarments are in complete view of the public.  Heck, even in Resorts World your bag will be manually inspected. So it is common knowledge that every single plastic, nylon, or luxury bag is required to pass through the x-ray machine at all airports. If they don’t find whatever it is that they’re looking for then off you go- moving on to the next suspicious character.

MABUTI KUNG GANYAN LANG MAS OKAY, ano bang pinaguusapan natin yung iris o yung paghuhubad ni Dyani? Again, you're comparisons are nonsense, so unrelated. Magulo ba pagkakagawa ng blog ni Ms Chyng? It seems that you didn't read it well. Yung pag-che check ba ng bag nila ang pinoproblema nila? C'mon, please think and read twice before you open your mouth.

Maybe because they didn’t understand what your husband meant by “Why don’t you talk?” Talk about what? It’s good that you know that insulting the Immigration Officers any further would get you into trouble. As Aretha Franklin would always say… R-E-S-P-E-C-T.

Exactly, R-E-S-P-E-C-T, tell that to your friend La vida! In the first place hindi kayo ang pinagtanggal ng panty at bra, anong problema nyo dyan at parang gusto nyo ng manaksak sa mga pinagsasabi nyo. Kung ang purpose nyo is to inform then go ahead pero yung pagsasalita ng OA si Ms Chyng, do you think kung tao ka ha, do you think that makes sense? .... Anong poblema mo sa why don't you TALK, would it matter kung right grammar pa yung ginamit ng asawa ko e hindi nga sila marunong mag-english e, di hamak namang mas common ang "talk" kesa sa "speak" sa mga taong yan, so considerate of my husband to level his self to them.

I’ve been to Indonesia recently and I must say it’s a wonderful country. Rich and vibrant Indonesian culture will greet you once you step out of the airport. Their temples are beautiful and their food is really good! Indonesians are also friendly just like us Filipinos and are always ready with their infectious smile. If you only travel just to show off then maybe Indonesia’s not right for you, but, if you travel to explore the world and experience different cultures then ‘malaki syang kawalan'. Explore with an open heart.

JUST TO SHOW OFF? hindi kaya ikaw ang nag-sho-show off nyan sa ting dalawa. Go ahead and travel well, but this is me, I still choose not to take off my clothes. I can do exploring with open heart, but not without clothes and I hope you just let it rest.

You’re right, it’s not OA if Ms. Chyng blogged about their unfortunate ordeal.  It’s completely normal that they’d feel that way towards the Indonesian Immigration Officers. But personally, it’s not right to generalize them. As I’ve said, I’ve been to Indonesia recently and I did put Ms. Chyng’s experience in mind but fortunately for me there was not a single instance that I felt insulted or looked down upon just because I’m a Filipina.  And unfortunately when it comes to the law one should be objective and not emotional. Forums like Girl Talk exist so as topics like Ms.Chyng’s Bali experience may be discussed objectively.

THIS PART, this is the part that is contradicting e. You're saying it's okay for them to blog about their unfortunate ordeal, PERIOD? And then there you are giving sympathy to the Indonesians? Ano ka ba talaga Filipino o Indonesian cause for sure you're not being fair at the least. Granted Ms Chyng was wrong about generalizing, still, it won't change the fact that they were violated and at the moment they're FURIOUS so to explain her generalization. WHAT LAW ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?  Upon entering Indonesia, no one told them that fat women will be asked especially pinoys to take off their clothes even if it just random checking. Had they known it, I doubt if they would even put Indonesia on their lists as well. AGAIN, if being naked is not your problem, go ahead, but then you're not them, not me, you can inform just don't tell us what to feel. Besides, kaya nga may kaso e, cause someone felt that something is wrong and not just being merely EMOTIONAL about it.

Then I would suggest that you erase Spain, Italy and some parts of Europe from your list as well because some of them are just rude to us Asians and they do discriminate.

BAKA SAYO LANG SILA RUDE? I hate to brag but I've been to these countries and never did I encounter such discrimination. And again, please stop messing my trip lists.

And if you don’t want to take your clothes off then be ready to spend a little more time in the immigration holding room because until you prove them wrong you  remain a suspicious character.

Again, it's not up for you to save me, I can deal with that.

I agree that Ms. Chyng is not OA but at the same time I disagree that Ms. La Vida Dulce is OA. Those who are well travelled not only in Asia would say that situations like this can happen and are completely normal.

I agree that Ms. Chyng is not OA, but for Ms La Vida Dulce to make her own blog in retort to Ms. Chyng's blog, if that's not OA then i would have to call it "papansin". If she intended to inform, she could have done it in a well mannered way not like the way you're doing now. Hindi kailangan word per word, sentence per sentence ng sinabi ko e may reaction ka, as if naman I intended to address it to you. And calling Ms Chyng OA, please tell to your friend- La Vida Dulce, that's so out of the line, who is she to judge her, it appeared that she has a personal grudge on Ms Chyng for calling her OA. And this alone is the reason why I disapproved her blog.

I've nothing against you, you may dislike me for all I care, but again, i still won't take off my clothes and that's me, that's my take on it. Won't it be peaceful if you'll just let me have it that way? Cause I am honestly letting you take off your clothes if that's what you want.

I'm moving on and granting your last wish... :-X

Went to Bali last year, apart from having to wait in the Immigration queue for hours, I had to suffer from the custom officers terrible treatment- my experience may not be as gruesome as Chyng and Dyani's but it was traumatic.

My boyfriend and I flew to Bali from Phuket last May 2011.  My boyfriend, who's Australian, after going thru Immigration was asked to wait in a holding room.  The officer questioned him about his passport (because a page was missing), he was told that he is not allowed to enter the country (after buying a visa and getting a stamp of entry, this was what the officer had said to him). This drama happened while I was in the SE Asia countries immigration queue (there's a queue for SE Asia countries and another queue for US, Australia, European countries, et al.  This officer also told him that if he wanted to enter the country, he (my boyfriend) would have to give 50 $ to each officials in the room (there were at least 5 persons there).  At one point he was worried that he would not be let in so he contemplated on paying but then he just asked to be in touch with the Australian Embassy, at that point, the officers said that there was no need for that and they let him go with a warning.  As he was exiting the room, he saw  French national being held in custody for having too many stamps on his passport, poor guy.

So finally, I got my passport stamped, I lined up to have my luggage scanned, when the custom officials saw me, they smiled and talked among themselves, so I got worried.  One of them asked for my passport.  Flipped the pages, like he was looking for something.  After I had my luggage scanned, one of the officers had me wait on the side, he scanned my arms (for drugs), asked me to open my bag, scanned every inch of my bag then turned it upside down, he even took the lock of my bag, when we asked what was going on, they laughed and talked among themselves, parang pinag- ttripan nila lang nila ko, delaying tactics ng mga hayop kasi wala siguro maisip na gawin, buti na lang me kasama ko, baka pinapasok din nila ko sa holding room nila kung di ko kasama boyfriend ko.  After a while they released me, tapos tong lecheng pulis, nung hinigi ko na yung lock ng bag ko, parang pa-joke na binigay tapos binawi.  Kung babalik man ako sa Indonesia, I'll make sure to get in touch with the PH embassy and di ko ngingitian mga hayop na yan.  Okay sana kung ni inspect lang nila gamit ko, wala naman ako tinatago, pero yung ngingiti ngiti sila na parang naglalaro, that's just wrong.

I Read this before but I didn't know that na media pa ang blog. So did the indo govt apologized ba? My first time and probably the last time I went to Indonesia is in batam. Imagine, I'm already working in Singapore with an employment pass but since the immigration officers saw me holding a Phil passport, they asked me to sit inside their stinking office na puro amoy yosi. Officers look at you like you are a prostitute. Worst thing is, I was only in a biz trip but they treated me as a trash. 10 mins of being held and after they asked me to leave. Question asked? Are u with a bf? Is your bf Caucasian? I want to punch his face.
