parang di naman sis. i think star magic just wanted to acknowledge her contributions kasi malaki naman talaga nacontribute nya. pero as for going back, this article says na baka di na pwede.

MANILA, Philippines -- Is actress Claudine Barretto trying to make amends with ABS-CBN?

According to Star Magic head Mariole Alberto, Barretto tried to reach out when she called Star Magic chairman emeritus Johnny Manahan on his birthday last February 11, but Manahan refused to speak to her.

"Better things to do," Manahan said.

"They know how they were treated, e. And makikita nila kung ano 'yong iniiwan nila. And I've seen so many people naman who tried to come back. Si Claudine na nga lang....," Alberto said in an interview published in the July 2012 issue of YES Magazine, which looked back at 20 years of ABS-CBN's talent management arm.

When asked if Barretto had tried to return to ABS-CBN, Alberto "waved the question away," the magazine said.

"The point is, it's better that you let them go and they choose to stay," Alberto said.

In the interview, Alberto admitted that the rift between Star Magic chairman emeritus Johnny Manahan and Barretto "has never been fully healed."

The rift started in 2010 a year after Barretto left ABS-CBN to move to GMA-7.

Barretto at the time accused Angelica Panganiban of spreading rumors that she was having an affair.

Barretto threatened to sue Panganiban but Mahanan told Panganiban to keep her silence and did all the speaking for her.

Actor Piolo Pascual, a prized talent of Star Magic, told YES Magazine that he also felt sad when Barretto decided to leave ABS-CBN.

"That was bittersweet because, you know, Claudine was our first and... It's hard. It's really hard for us because Mr. M and Tita Mariole naman would give it their all. So, siyempre, ako -- I didn't want any one to leave. But if they felt na they could grow elsewhere, you've got to let them go," said Pascual, who was Barretto's leading man in the hit 2004 film "Milan" and the television series "Walang Kapalit" in 2007.

was watching TV this afternoon tas pinakita si Claudine na ininterview during Dolphy's burial. Ang ganda niya (payat tignan, thankyouverymuch black dress). Sayang lang at parang may mali sa ugali nya.

Claudine may join TV5

Claudine Barretto looked very much at home when News5 paid her a visit on Saturday in Marikina on the set of TV5′s hit docu-drama anthology “Untold Stories”.

The actress said she had no second thoughts about accepting the offer from the Kapatid Network.

“Wala. Masaya kasi this is my first time here, and everybody is warm,” she said.

Claudine’s role in the “Untold Stories” episode is that of a battered wife to a man played by Jay Manalo. And she said she was ready for the battery scene with the actor.

“Sampalan naman. Walang dayaan ‘to. Sakitan talaga ito, Jay! Haha,” she said, laughing.

Thankfully for the actress, her real-life husband is the complete opposite of Jay’s character and supports whatever decision she makes for her career.

Claudine does not have an exclusive contract with any network at the moment. Is she joining TV5?

“Hopefully, yes. Ang sarap maging Kapatid,” she said.

However, the actress clarified that nothing is final because her manager, Viva Entertainment boss Vic de Rosario, is lining up a film project for her, which will be co-produced by Star Cinema.

Star Cinema is the film division of her original network of 17 years, ABS-CBN, which she left on acrimonious terms in late 2009 when she transfered to GMA.

The actress said she reconciled recently with her longtime manager and mentor, Johnny Manahan, the head of ABS-CBN’s Star Magic pool of talents.

She also shared her and Raymart’s plan to adopt another child besides their daughter Sabina, 8, and their foster child Chloe, 2. They have a biological son, Rodrigo, who is 5.

Claudine’s “Untold Stories” episode will air on August 25, 9:30PM.
